Capítulo 1561: Chapter 1552: Dominance (Part 2)

Filming it again, her eye changes were still very smooth. In the evening class, Xia Siyu excitedly told the teacher about this change, but she still had a strong sense of self-awareness. She said, “But I feel like I haven’t fully mastered it yet.”

Occasionally, there was sharpness, but she still lacked that casual grace on the courtroom stage, her cultivation wasn’t quite there.

No matter, there’s still ti before she needs to show off her “majestic presence.”

She confidently calculated for herself, “I practiced eye expressions for a week to get to this level. Give a month, and I’ll definitely make it!”

She turned back to ask the teacher, “In the past, how long did it take to sing ‘Farewell My Concubine’ well?”

The teacher thought for a mont, “About a decade or so.”

One minute on stage takes ten years of work offstage. Well, do these truly accomplished actors see today’s actors as monsters or demons?

The teacher also comforted her, “You don’t need to be so discouraged; you’re not going on stage to sing opera, just getting close is enough.”

But she wants to win an award! How can a half-baked effort win an award? But it takes ten years to master; she was overwheld.

No choice, just do your best and leave the rest to fate.

Xia Siyu was bustling around here, Bo Yan was also experiencing life over there. His way of experiencing life was simple and direct: live at soone’s house.

Yu Fenfei was filming a dock story, so Bo Yan lived with the dock workers, wearing a mask among them every day. Before dawn, when the ship docked and fish were unloaded, he watched people bargain and unload goods. After the ship left, he went to the nearby tea stand to drink tea and listen to locals talk about anything and everything, learning to talk and act like them. In the evening script etings, he incorporated his insights. Yu Fenfei clearly noticed his disciple, who was good before, seed to have learned sothing recently, and his acting seed to improve.

Yu Fenfei found it interesting, “What’s up with you recently? Did you get so inspiration? Seems like you’ve improved more than when you were at school.”

Bo Yan laughed, “Not much.” He paused, then added, “Learned from Siyu.”

Yu Fenfei knew about them, but he always thought Bo Yan was leading Xia Siyu into acting, never expecting the opposite.

He grew more curious about Xia Siyu. It was indeed a bit regrettable not to sign her imdiately. Although he had seen Xia Siyu many tis and watched her movies, truth be told, she didn’t seem very reliable. Despite her good performance in “Storm,” who knows if it would be the peak of her career?

“You’re not just hyping her up to introduce her to , are you?” Yu Fenfei spoke bluntly, knowing Bo Yan well.

Bo Yan laughed, “No worries. If there’s a chance to work together in the future, you can see for yourself.”

Unexpectedly, the opportunity ca quickly. Xia Siyu had a comrcial event and ca to the city for brand promotion. She turned down a banquet in the afternoon to find Bo Yan.

Bo Yan had also joined the crew by then. They had adjusted well after spending a month there. Xia Siyu ca to see him discreetly, knowing she had an early flight to another city event the next day. But coincidentally, Yu Fenfei was also there when she went to Bo Yan’s van.

Xia Siyu sweetly greeted, “Teacher Yu,” acknowledging the sa seniority as Bo Yan.

Bo Yan asked about her recent work, Xia Siyu nodded, “Just filming, you know?” implying what’s there to ask?

Bo Yan put a bite of food on her plate, “Didn’t you say you were still learning opera singing?”

Xia Siyu, with cheeks puffed up like a hamster, spoke while eating, “Not exactly singing opera. It’s sothing I’m learning from my Peking Opera teacher. If I must say, recently I’ve been learning—how to kill you with my eyes.”

Bo Yan nearly choked, “Kill you with your eyes?” What kind of learning thod is that?

Yu Fenfei also found it interesting. Bo Yan asked again, “How do you kill with your eyes?”

“Like this—” Xia Siyu said, her face suddenly changed, her previous playful and angry deanor instantly shifted to a look of intensity.

Her gaze was sharp, as if her irises held a sharp blade, cold and vicious. Her expression was as if she really intended to kill.

But just like that, she smiled warmly again, like spring thawing the winter’s chill.

Xia Siyu was frustrated, “Pity I still need to learn to contain my emotions. To act silently.”

Bo Yan indeed got a bit startled by her. Her expression in that mont was truly sharp.

Yu Fenfei beside them was curious, although as actors, they always had to be ready, her changes were remarkably impressive.

“No worries, keep practicing,” Bo Yan smiled, proud of how swiftly his wife’s acting was improving.

After being praised, Xia Siyu’s confidence soared, “Of course.” Despite that, she was aware of her limits. “Pity my teacher said it takes ten to eight years to reach that level. I only have a month.”

A month was an exaggeration, more precisely two hours a night for a month. Yet, she still shook her head, “No choice, gotta try my best.”

“Seems like we’ll really need to cast you in sothing,” Yu Fenfei laughed.

“Absolutely!” Xia Siyu nodded.

**

This ti Xia Siyu ca over, it surely wasn’t just business talk. On a hot sumr day, Xia Siyu wore a simple T-shirt and flip-flops, and Bo Yan did the sa; both wore masks and went for a stroll. Bo Yan took her to the nearby night market. They weren’t alone; Song Fengzhi and Wei Jingjing joined them, with a crew of bodyguards. Everyone dressed similarly, strolling together.

This wasn’t for show, but for safety, considering the crowds. In the end, they got recognized, but surprisingly, it wasn’t them, but Wei Jingjing and Song Fengzhi who got recognized.

Wei Jingjing and Song Fengzhi never expected to be recognized. They weren’t celebrities, so they didn’t hide much. Though everyone wore masks, it was inevitable as Bo Yan took Xia Siyu here to stroll, they couldn’t avoid the late-night snacks.

But this ti, fans recognized them. Song Fengzhi and Wei Jingjing, always around celebrities, appeared in street shots occasionally, but unless they were hardcore fans, few recognized them, so they were careless.

“Aren’t you… Jing… that person? Xia Siyu’s manager!” A nearby college student eating asked.

“Really?” Her friend looked around and then at Song Fengzhi, “Aren’t you next to Bo Yan?”

With them there, Xia Siyu and Bo Yan must also be nearby!
