Xia Siyu snorted, "Give a year and a half, maybe I can write it all out."
Bo Yan chuckled, "You? What would you write?"
Just recently, Xia Siyu had shed the label of "illiterate." In the past, she was famously known in the entertainnt industry as soone who couldn’t even read properly. Although she had since read many books and learned a lot under Bo Yan’s guidance, writing an article? Would she be able to do it?
Xia Siyu was bursting with confidence, "Of course, I’d write about myself. What, isn’t my twenty-sothing life dramatic enough?"
Her life has indeed been quite tumultuous—discovered by a talent scout on the street, she debuted and beca an instant hit, fell to rock bottom twice, and subsequently rose again. However, writing her own autobiography wasn’t uncommon; many celebrities penned their own stories – regardless of the writing quality, it was sold to fans, and perhaps wasn’t even written by themselves.
But transforming these into a script requires more. After all, a script is sothing else; it lacks emotions and rely narrates, making it challenging to achieve a good screenplay.
Good movies based on autobiographies are rarely crafted by the individuals themselves. It’s others interpreting it from different angles, achieving both objectivity and depth.
"Writing about oneself usually doesn’t turn out well. In general, movie protagonists aren’t themselves; how awkward would that be? Besides, for so scenes, when perford by others it’s fine, but performing them yourself—wouldn’t you feel ashad? Even if it’s about you, it wouldn’t be the protagonist, but rather told from an observer’s perspective, which isn’t impossible."
"Observer? My life is subjective; it doesn’t need observation," Xia Siyu heartlessly denied, "And is there anyone who needs my observational comntary? Is there?"
As she said this, she abruptly closed her mouth.
There is.
There truly is.
Even as confident and arrogant as she could be, she wouldn’t write Bo Yan as the protagonist from an observer’s angle, with herself as the supporting role. But for one person, she willingly plays a supporting role.
That person is her mother.
Her mother was a dancer and an award-winning actress. Independent, autonomous, intelligent, an excellent person, yet her romantic life was full of struggles, and she died silently, without even her husband by her side.
Though her mother is gone now, she continues to provide nourishnt. Xia Siyu strives to brush up on her acting skills and challenges Shang Feifei for her mother’s sake; thinking of her mother during tough tis, she doesn’t feel lost or lose confidence.
However, her mother never received justice, whether in rumors or with her in-laws, even when Xia Siyu’s reputation plumted, it also dragged her mother down.
She wants to overturn the verdict. Over the years, the Xia Family has tried to erase her mother’s traces from society to eliminate the impact. They bought the rights to her films, instructed reporters and dia not to report her matters, year after year diminishing her presence. If it weren’t for the paparazzi discovering her relationship with her mother, her mother might have remained just a vague na, with no one rembering her.
But now, when people ntion her, it’s only about her "nude scandal," her "alleged rise as the mistress." Xia Siyu shouting a hundred words here isn’t as powerful as filming a movie personally and putting those past events to the public for judgnt.
When she entered the entertainnt industry, wasn’t it to deliver a lesson to the Xia Family?
Now, the ti has co.
