Capítulo 1595: Chapter 1586: The Last Days of Being Twenty (2)

Xia Siyu saw it, but pretended not to and continued chatting with her fans.

Bo Yan also had other events today. Originally, he could have rescheduled his work, but Xia Siyu declined: “It’s just a little birthday, not a milestone, and I’m not a kid. No need for a big celebration.”

Bo Yan couldn’t argue with her and agreed. He also pointed out, “If you need to co back, just let know, and I’ll make arrangents in advance.”

Xia Siyu waved her hand dismissively: “There’s nothing special needed for such a small thing. No chocolate allowed, and I’m not eating birthday cake—too sweet. Why are cakes always sweet? It would be great if they could be braised pork instead. No flowers either. The studio is already piled like a hill with flowers, and they’re useless except to throw away when they wilt.”

So Bo Yan had no choice but to send her rockets digitally. Moreover, he even changed his ID to “Shengxia’s Rain at Work,” clearly stating his status.

Xia Siyu deliberately pointed out Bo Yan’s identity: “Thank you to Shengxia’s Rain for the rockets, I appreciate your gesture.”

Right after, Shengxia’s Rain sent a screen full of roses.

Previously, Xia Siyu rarely live-stread. First, because she had no ti; once she started working on a set, she vanished for months, only coming out for necessary business tasks, busy from morning till night.

Second, she was overly blunt. Before, she cursed at reporters, clashed with haters, and used sarcastic remarks. If she ever said sothing that got taken out of context and spread widely, it would require public relations managent.

So, even when the live-streaming industry was booming in recent years, Qin Baizhou declined most of them for her, except for so paid product promotions. After becoming independent, she spent a low-key year last year, resisting exposure as she wasn’t afraid of rumors but didn’t seek out criticism. After her reputation turned around, she joined two productions back-to-back, spending most of her ti filming, leaving no ti for casual appearances.

But unless asked a question she doesn’t want to answer, Xia Siyu is particularly talkative. She can chat alone for three to five hours without stopping. With fans, she obviously wouldn’t discuss personal relationships but instead shared funny stories from the set.

Xia Siyu’s fans are divided into three groups. Those who remained after several low periods are die-hard fans who love whatever she says. New fans are divided into career fans and appearance fans. The appearance fans, swooning, shout “Ahhh, sister, you’re so beautiful,” “Sister, give a chance!” As long as her looks hold up, appearance fans won’t leave. Career fans, however, worry about her movies, her career, especially after she won the Cannes Best Supporting Actress award, which drastically increased their numbers. Everything obstructing my sister’s path to the top—like rivalries, too much exposure, reality shows, and n—are hurdles! My sister is destined for the Oscars!

These people are more driven than she is, worried about her career plan and film selections. If a script isn’t good, they’re more anxious than Xia Siyu herself. They also start worrying about box office numbers and data. Even the more professional ones start looking at awards, analyzing if her current works can win any and how many she might win. However, they regretfully concluded that next year’s top three awards might be hard to secure since “Youth 2” and Director Ji’s comrcial film don’t look like award contenders, placing hope on future works.

Aside from fans, celebrities also drop by to chi in during her birthday stream, which starts at eight in the evening. Various industry friends had already posted congratulatory tweets by midnight. At night, though, a few celebrities personally dropped by.

Like Wang Zisu.

He’s the type who sends his birthday wishes right at midnight. However, being abroad, he got the tizone wrong and posted an hour early, turning into a joke and quickly deleting to repost. It beca trending today. Last year, when she was targeted all year, most of her “okay” industry friends, including Zhou Weiwei, didn’t post birthday greetings, but Wang Zisu was fearless and still did. Even though Xia Siyu’s haters attacked him, he ignored them. But this year, after her reputation turned around, Wang Zisu’s post suddenly seed wise and brilliant.

Today, just like Bo Yan, he sent several yacht rockets, generously topping the fan leaderboard in the live stream. Xia Siyu didn’t hold back and said directly, “Wang Zisu, stop sending gifts. Your spam is blocking my fans’ ssages.”

Soon after, Wang Zisu sent another gift. Since gifts have a pin feature, he comnted afterward, “Congratulations on getting a year older.”

Although Xia Siyu doesn’t fear aging, nor adhere to the so-called “youthful” image, his words annoyed her. She scoffed, “Do you call that aging? That’s called maturing, being charismatic. You little brat don’t understand.”

Below, her fans unanimously shouted, “Yes! Reject age anxiety, our daughter is the most beautiful!”

These days, fans don’t just want to be the star’s spouse but are also quick to beco the star’s parent. Even those younger than Xia Siyu can’t resist calling her “my daughter”!

After Xia Siyu said this, she didn’t forget to make a return gesture: “However, Prince, you’ve sent so many yachts. Since it’s my birthday, I should reciprocate with a gift too.”

In Xia Siyu’s live stream, she directly said it, and Wang Zisu also responded, but his replies quickly got buried by a barrage of comnts, obscuring them from view.

But it didn’t matter; Xia Siyu knew he was watching—she laughed smugly and then said, “That is, you’ll get to hear my rendition of your group’s hit song ‘Our Little Life’.”

While others charge for singing, Xia Siyu’s singing is painfully unbearable! All of Xia Siyu’s fans know she is beautiful with great acting skills, proficient in dance and martial arts, but terrifyingly bad at singing. No one knows how such a beautiful face can produce such a terrible sound. Suddenly, a series of “Soul Diva” comnts filled the screen in horror.

Xia Siyu cleared her throat and started singing. Oh boy, in the prelude, she hit four wrong notes out of five, and because of a poorly adjusted microphone, a sharp screech almost sent people fleeing. Fans lanted, “Please, no, I would pay dearly for ears that haven’t heard this!” “I can just look at her face; as long as it’s just her face, I can continue loving her!” “Confird survival! Hearing her sing is truly entertaining!” “My sister’s confident expression is a win!”

Half of the fans fled, and Wang Zisu laughed and withdrew.

The live stream continued. Xia Siyu began streaming at eight in the evening and was still going strong after two hours, with viewership numbers continuing to climb.

But with more people, there was bound to be a mix, including quite a few haters who slled the opportunity to co and insult her.
