Bo Yan had spent the entire evening matching wits with her to no avail, never expecting that Xia Siyu would suddenly pull such a move at the end.

She hadn’t put on lipstick or perfu today, having just eaten spicy duck neck and drunk beer instead. This made the kiss spicy and sowhat intoxicating. Just as Bo Yan wanted to continue, Xia Siyu quickly pulled back. His hand reached out, fingertips almost grazing her arm as they slid all the way down. By the ti his fingertips fell from her arm, she had already retreated two steps back.

Bo Yan wanted to say sothing, but Xia Siyu opened the door and playfully looked back, saying, "Goodnight, Mr. Bo."

Only then did he rember that this fellow still had the microphone on, so it had only been like a dragonfly skimming the surface of the water — a brief touch before separating.

Afterwards, Xia Siyu closed the door, leaving Bo Yan standing outside for a long ti without moving.

After a while, he reached up to touch the corner of his mouth, still soft as if that feeling remained between his lips. Bo Yan looked once again at the door, which was tightly shut, and since the caras in the living room were all running, he couldn’t just go up and knock.

How should I put it, he felt like a little wife, being flirted with by a domineering CEO, and then the person just left without a trace.

Luckily, Xia Siyu was a woman. If she were a man, she would have surely wreaked havoc on countless good girls, simply the perfect definition of a playboy.

But maybe, perhaps, possibly.

He was quite happy and wanted her to flirt with him so more.

Bo Yan stood there a while longer, before turning to restore the hallway cara. Then, still calm and collected, he tidied his hair in front of the cara before walking leisurely to the living room, where he spotted the half-box of duck neck Xia Siyu hadn’t finished and her half-can of beer.

Bo Yan stood there for a mont before sitting down expressionlessly. The assistant director on duty was watching the surveillance then and saw Bo Yan sitting in the living room, ticulously gnawing on the duck neck.

By now, it was already a bit late, past ten at night. This was typically a late-night snack ti, but many artists believe in not eating after noon or six in the evening, and even if they have events, they’ll be very cautious about their intake.

Unlike Xia Siyu, Bo Yan was not prone to gaining weight. He exercised regularly, keeping his body lean with abs. During shoots, he’d usually display self-disciplined scenes, such as today when he cooked pork belly, he ate only a little himself, consuming more vegetables — though you could say this was left for Xia Siyu. However, due to his celebrity stature, others assud he was controlling his diet and couldn’t eat too much fatty food.

In past events, Bo Yan’s als were healthy. He never dieted specifically for weight loss, only ate healthily. Sneaking a late-night snack at such a ti was scarce unless there was a filming task or social occasion.

But at this mont, Bo Yan sat in front of the sofa, gnawing ticulously, even chewing the bones down to swallow everything.

Maybe because it was too spicy, he looked at the table, hesitated a bit, and picked up the can of beer Xia Siyu just had, taking a sip. After one sip, a look of satisfaction appeared on his face, suggesting it tasted good.

The assistant director, tempted by his expressions of savoring late-night treats, couldn’t resist and turned to staff: "Order a late-night snack — spicy duck neck and beer!"

After finishing, drinking the beer to the last drop, Bo Yan contentedly tidied the room, wiped down the table, leaving it spotless.

Having completed everything, he leisurely went to wash up.

Though there were still so misunderstandings amongst the directors about certain things, like how Xia Siyu’s explanation that they accidentally made a ss during a blackout sounded odd. And why Bo Yan took five to six minutes longer to fix the hallway cara, also curious what he and Xia Siyu talked about during that gap. Moreover, how Xia Siyu suddenly turned on the microphone — despite their conversation divulging no loopholes, it could be discerned that their exchange lacked much aversion, hinting past discord rumors might be false.

Typically, the show group would edit suspense into the program, but unexpectedly in this show, the guests themselves were the suspense.

Fortunately, everything went smoothly afterwards, a quiet night with no further words.

...

The next morning, Xia Siyu woke up with the first ray of sunlight.

Though it was still hot, waking early, and having napped well the previous afternoon, she felt very energetic now.

She got up, changed clothes without putting on makeup, turned on the cara, and opened the door, finding Bo Yan outside as well.

At ho, Bo Yan was similar, needing less sleep than her. Xia Siyu could sleep twelve hours when free, but Bo Yan maintained his energy with just seven.

Because she kissed him last night, Bo Yan was in a good mood: "You awake?"

Xia Siyu nodded.

Together, they headed to the washroom, standing side by side while getting ready, left and right in front of the mirror.

Without saying any sweet nothings or exchanging kisses, their reflection brushing teeth together in the mirror was more touching than most love words. The saying goes, I could say "I love you" a million tis but cannot let you see brushing my teeth.

In a relationship, one wants to show their best side to their partner. Maybe disguised or seen through rose-colored glasses.

But only after spending so ti together do couples find those heady illusions during the honeymoon phase laughable. It’s the little, unspoken, nurturing details that are more touching.

They tidied up a bit, finished washing up, and returned to apply skincare products. Bo Yan walked to the door, spotting a letter slipped through the crack beneath it.

After Xia Siyu finished tidying, Bo Yan held up the envelope: "I reckon it’s from the director group."

Familiar with the routine, Xia Siyu opened it, revealing today’s task. They were to leave tomorrow afternoon, and in these two days, she and Bo Yan could only spend what remained from yesterday’s three hundred — eighty. If exceeded, there would be other tasks.

For instance, other groups like Zhou Weiwei and Zhang Wenyi had to make it romantic and chose to have dinner at a nearby Thai restaurant. The setting was lovely and the atmosphere great but costly, and the three hundred wasn’t enough for a single curry crab dish, leaving them in arrears to the group by fifteen hundred. Today, they needed to team up to complete tasks. Han Yifan and Shang Feifei wisely drank the wine they brought and ate their own snowflake steaks, fearing insufficient funds for today and tomorrow, so they compliantly went to complete tasks too.
