"Well, if you’re here, you’re here." Xia Siyu remained calm and didn’t forget to toss the handful of sand in her hand onto Bo Yan. Once he was covered in dirt and looked rather pathetic, she tidied up her hairstyle, figuring she’d have to shoot another small segnt later.

Bo Yan was busy shaking off the sand when Han Yifan spotted him and imdiately started teasing, "Wow, not bad! Is this your new hairstyle for the year?"

"Yeah, how about I give you one too?" Even while patting the dust off his clothes, Bo Yan maintained a calm deanor with distinct facial lines. He didn’t look embarrassed at all; instead, it added a youthful sunshine vibe to his usually composed aura—a limited edition, courtesy of his wife.

"No way~" Han Yifan instantly retorted cheekily, "Even if I need a stylist, I’ll have Fei’er do it. Back off, little brother. I don’t want to be friends with you."

"Get lost, get lost." Bo Yan shuddered, no clue who this guy had been hanging out with lately, acting all cheeky.

He paused and explained, "The negotiation didn’t go well; she’s looking for soone else to cooperate on her next film."

Actually, he didn’t want to explain, but noticing the crew mbers behind him, even though they’ve gone public, he didn’t want others to witness their playful bickering.

Xia Siyu didn’t forget to turn back, "Of course not. I’m looking for other partners to work with. There are many collaborators out there, not just you."

"Oh right, there’s too." Han Yifan imdiately started boasting, "Why don’t you sign with then? Join my company, and I’ll make you the number one sister."

Xia Siyu obviously knew he was joking around. Isn’t his company jointly run with Bo Yan? But she didn’t expose him. Not many people outside know about this joint venture, so she laughed along, "You? Not promoting your girlfriend but making the lead? Aren’t you afraid your girlfriend will co after you?"

"Her contract isn’t with , and I can’t afford her anyway. Besides, she’s more expensive and out of my budget."

"You scoundrel! Han Yifan, don’t think just because you’re my senior I won’t dare to hit you. I’m also a top actress, okay? A top one! You want to sign , bring three billion, and I’ll sign imdiately."

The group was joking around, completely oblivious to Zhou Weiwei’s team gradually approaching.

Though Zhou Weiwei heard them joking, she was exhausted, having walked circles in the desert without eating or drinking—nearly collapsing over the cal. On the other hand, she took over as Huixing’s leading actress from Xia Siyu, perhaps that’s when Xia Siyu’s attitude towards her started to change, inevitably severing ties with this group.

But she didn’t regret it. After all, she had been ignored for so long and finally grabbed a chance; she had to climb desperately upward. Sisterhood ant nothing compared to real money.

However, she was really in a bad situation today. Starting early, the highway was fine but once it disappeared, they could only rely on a compass, which later failed too. The guide said they had to find their own way, wandering circles in the desert and even heading in the wrong direction, reaching back to the highway area by evening, forced to re-enter the desert.

At night it was even worse: no lights, no road signs, plus the crew estimated they’d reach by evening. But from noon till now, they hadn’t eaten anything, and previously purchased perishables had expired, having thrown them away in frustration. Snacks ran low; all the bread was gone. Water lasted till after ten at night, when they drank the last drop, and by then Zhang Wenyi was of no use. His sweet talk couldn’t conjure water nor lead her out of the desert.

But thankfully, after ten, the guide finally led them onto the right path, which took over three hours.

By now, it’s almost 2 AM; over there, although two fell rolling down and fought a silly sand war, they were energetic, clearly having eaten their fill, and in good spirits.

In contrast, her side lacked food and water, was tired and hungry, and had to cooperate with the director for shooting while tomorrow continues the journey—the desert was only half-shot, the other half still ahead.

Even though Zhou Weiwei was indeed miserable, the rest of the crew didn’t show her any sympathy. After waiting five or six hours for her team, the gap in intelligence was apparent.

Once she landed, the director, looking dirty, demanded their scores on the spot, not surprisingly, Xia Siyu’s team ranked first, Shang Feifei following closely, then the seniors’ group, with Zhou Weiwei miserably taking the bottom.

Earlier it was already stated: the first team receives perks at the final site. The perks ca arriving.

Xia Siyu and Bo Yan, after continually sparring with the crew, skimping on lodging and food, finally enjoyed traveling comfortably in business class. Shang Feifei and Han Yifan took the high-speed train.

The seniors’ group traveled by the old green train but thankfully, the crew showed so rcy, not squeezing them into hard seats and providing berths to sleep.

Due to arriving last, Zhou Weiwei and Zhang Wenyi could only take the bus from the Northwest, alighting in Yancheng requiring over thirty hours just in commute, aning no rest tonight either, packing at five AM ready to board.

Faced with tears, Zhou Weiwei couldn’t complain on cara—juxtaposing her despair with Xia Siyu, both equally miserable yet Siyu appeared vibrant in contrast. Certainly, expressing "misery" requires skill.

Moderately expressing misery blended with humor seems entertaining to viewers; consistently sulking attracts none.

She and Zhang Wenyi could rely smile and nod, "We’ll head over first, you guys take care."

But when she waved, no one responded. Unsurprisingly, Xia Siyu and Bo Yan were busy, Shang Feifei having little rapport, usually solo unless necessary. The seniors’ group stood far and hadn’t heard.

She wasn’t in a position to say anything further nor had the ti; quickly returning, she tidied up, changed clothes, and showered. Fortunately, an assistant was present, helping with logistics. Zhou Weiwei inquired, "Where’s Brother Qin?"

"He hasn’t called in."

Zhou Weiwei nodded calmly, "Understood."

Qin Baizhou treated her differently than Xia Siyu, naturally handling Siyu specially. Since Xia Siyu left Huixing, Qin Baizhou nominally remained her agent yet was realistically hands-off, delegating her managent to another executive agent.
