For this series, Bo Yan could only act as a consultant, ensuring quality; most of the work needed producer Han Yifan to manage.

Bo Yan didn’t take on many comrcial gigs. Now that he had money, there was no need to spend excessive energy on too many business activities. He didn’t reject them altogether but chose them selectively. He also had a film to shoot, but like Xia Siyu, he received the script first, familiarized himself with the story, and experienced life. He played a revolutionary hero from the China period and researched a lot regarding the role.
Xia Siyu was also reading scripts, and being together, they could discuss the plots. With Li Yiru’s drama, while the script was being prepared, Bo Yan and Xia Siyu could discuss how to adapt it. After all, Xia Siyu had read "Three Words and Two Shots" and many ancient texts before. Though her insights weren’t professional, she had fantastic ideas.
