Then the official shoot began, and shooting for a magazine is sowhat similar to filming a movie. The photographer would first roughly set a scene, and the characters would then bring it to life. Typically, for such major publications, you don’t have to look overly sweet, nor smile too sweetly, nor need to be too enchanting, just need cara presence.
As a model, for magazine shoots, what’s in vogue is that “high-class beauty” — the sort many national models possess. It requires an aloof and arrogant distance, with high cheekbones visible, and a good figure well-contained, avoiding unnecessary exposure, as it would appear tacky. Facial expressions, at tis, resemble a desolate despair, or else a pursed-lip pretentiousness.
What’s needed is expression, the ability to convey the photographer’s vision. Hence, well-shot photographers are extrely renowned, even top stars have to make appointnts.
And for typical magazine photography, without that strong stylistic presence of the photographer, it all depends on the actor themselves.
And Xia Siyu has this down to a fine art. She’s been in the entertainnt industry for seven years, and throughout these years, whether in criticism or praise, she’s always been top-tier, largely thanks to her face.
Today, she’s wearing a suit, a sharp suit, with her hair also neatly styled. Throughout the shoot, he seed even more like Xia Siyu’s assistant than Wei Jingjing.
