Chapter 921: Chapter 912: Cliff Jumping (2)

There were one or two events where Bo Yan just happened to be present as well.

The paparazzi stared at them relentlessly, as if trying to bore holes into the back of their heads.

Unfortunately for them, they were disappointed. Xia Siyu and Bo Yan were seated apart, one on the left and the other on the right. Seated next to Xia Siyu was Wang Zisu, while Shang Feifei was next to Bo Yan. Zhou Weiwei was also by her side, and the host was Hu Juyue, who knew very well how to play to each person’s strengths while avoiding their weaknesses, carefully keeping the two from having common topics. This way, when the director cut the scenes, he wouldn’t switch to showing both of them together.

After hosting the event, Xia Siyu and Bo Yan left separately, without any interaction. Afterwards, one returned to Jiangnan, and the other went to the film set, not even a nod of greeting. Bo Yan and Shang Feifei were not the warm type to start with, barely speaking throughout the event. Xia Siyu and Wang Zisu, on the other hand, chattered away and often interacted with the host.

The happiest of all were the fans watching the live broadcast. Finally, Xia Siyu had no contact with Bo Yan, and he had Shang Feifei by his side. Since Fei’er had a boyfriend, there was no need to worry about her getting too close to Bo.

Bo Yan’s fans comnted:

“My God, that scared . Thankfully, that woman didn’t sit with Teacher Bo.”

“It’s just too much, every ti she’s there, Teacher Bo always gets tied down, like a leech that can’t be shaken off, addicted to sucking blood, aren’t they?”

On one hand, Bo Yan’s fans are subtly belittling Xia Siyu, while on the other hand, Xia Siyu’s and Wang Zisu’s fans seem to get along well, like a scene from a schizophrenic episode:

“Aww, Prince is just too cute!”

“Prince and sister really look good together, it’s clearly visible Prince is having a good ti tonight.”

“Didn’t Prince visit the set not long ago? I heard he’s going to make a cao in sister’s movie, not sure how the final result will be (rumor has it he’s playing her love interest, my dream CP has finally co true)!”

There were also comnts about the host:

“U1S1, Hu Juyue has really honed her skills over the years, she did well today, was also good on variety shows, not awkward and even funny, she really held her own during such a major event.”

In the midst of all the discussions, only one person was invisible again, and that was Zhou Weiwei.

Not a single barrage ssage or viewer ntioned her, and her own Weibo account that supposedly had five million followers got less than a thousand reposts when she tweeted. Next to Xia Siyu’s casual Weibo posts that would explode with tens of thousands of likes and comnts, it was like there was a wall between them.

Even on the next day, the official photos of the red carpet and the event didn’t include her. The most extre case was, when several dia outlets posted photos of Xia Siyu and Wang Zisu taking close-up shots together, Zhou Weiwei was right by Xia Siyu’s side but was ruthlessly cropped out. It was as if she had socially died, without even a shadow visible in the breeze.

The entertainnt industry is just that cruel. So people shine with stardom even if they occupy just a tiny bit of the background, and enthusiastic netizens will make sure they are singled out. Others, even if they partake in the project, get rcilessly edited out. The scariest part is that there was a ti when Xia Siyu would bring Zhou Weiwei along and post pictures of their outings on her own Weibo. Now, Zhou Weiwei no longer appears in Xia Siyu’s Weibo, and certainly not featured in her own scenes.

However, there was a little episode. After Xia Siyu left the venue, in fact, Qin Baizhou was also nearby waiting to pick her up.

But after waiting for half an hour and not seeing her, he called, and Xia Siyu directly said: “I’m on my way to the airport, is there sothing wrong?”
