This showed a very childish side of Jas. After all, he was only nineteen years old.
If he had played in the NBA for just two more years, he wouldn’t be trying to prove such a pointless thing.
However, for Su Xi, this was absolutely fantastic news.
By now, he had completely copied Jas’s explosiveness, reaching 98. Jas might be a tiny bit stronger, but Su Xi probably couldn’t copy that last little bit.
Among the super talents Su Xi had currently unlocked, the only one he hadn’t fully copied from Jas was the super speed talent.
Therefore, Su Xi’s defensive strategy wasn’t to pressure him tightly. He gave Jas space to unleash his speed.
Jas went full throttle, furious, his emotions at their peak.
Su Xi quickly kept up, but he was still a step behind.
However, because of this, the super speed talent within his body surged violently.
As Jas took his third step, Su Xi’s super speed talent shot up to 95.
And it was still on the rise.
Jas jumped, and Su Xi jumped right after him, but his vertical was still a little lacking.
BOOM!
LeBron Jas finished with a powerful dunk.
After scoring, he roared at Su Xi. "Your wishful thinking is ridiculous."
"You traveled. You took an extra step," Tony Batty pointed out from the side.
Jas imdiately glared at him.
"Is this your off-court defensive assistant?" Jas said sarcastically. "Nobody’s ever called a travel like that on ."
Su Xi didn’t bother arguing with him, just saying, "Again!"
Jas took the ball again, and Su Xi’s defense was even more oppressive.
Jas exploded into motion, suspiciously close to a travel.
But Su Xi kept up in ti. One step, two steps!
Su Xi’s super speed talent increased to 96.
Su Xi initiated contact.
He braced against Jas’s lower body, causing Jas to stumble. While stumbling, he threw the ball up... SWISH!
It went in.
That basket was pure individual skill on his part.
"See that? Two in a row. One more and this ga is over. Jack, without , you’re nothing. You really think your defense is that good? It’s deterring everyone from the side."
Jas continued to talk trash to Su Xi.
He was like a madman whose love had turned to hate.
Su Xi couldn’t be bothered to talk to him and passed the ball directly to Jas.
Jas got the ball, and this ti Su Xi’s pressure was even tighter.
Jas gave a pump fake and then jumped directly, intending to end the ga.
But... CLANG!
A brick.
"Again!"
Su Xi passed the ball to Jas.
This ti, he got a hand up to pressure Jas.
Jas took a quick explosive step forward, then ca to another sudden stop and put up a jumper... His offensive rhythm was great this ti, and Su Xi’s defensive pressure wasn’t quite there.
But.
CLANG!
Jas’s touch was really a bit off.
The ball didn’t go in.
It all ca down to the last point.
Having missed two shots in a row, the pressure on Jas was imnse.
The crowd gathering around them was growing, and even the TV crew had started to enter the court from the other side, setting up their broadcast equipnt.
He decided to end it quickly.
So, the mont he received the ball, he exploded into motion... and he traveled on his first step.
But Su Xi ignored it and quickly kept pace.
As he matched Jas’s second step, his super speed talent reached 97.
This was the limit of Jas’s talent.
He had copied it completely.
Jas gathered the ball, took two and a half steps, and leaped into the air. But as he was rising, Su Xi anticipated it. He dashed forward, jumped, extended his long arm, and slamd his giant hand down on the basketball. The imnse force pressed down on the ball. At that mont, Jas hadn’t yet leveraged his full advantage in weight and power. His body was forced downwards, unable to even struggle!
BAM!
The basketball slamd violently onto the floor.
It was over!
The Law shut down the King.
Tony Batty let out a scream and started clapping.
Carlos Boozer, grinning, high-fived Jason Kapono.
"Nice one, Jack. You really live up to Gary Payton’s hype as ’The Glove II’."
Just then, Charles Barkley walked over. He had witnessed the whole thing.
Jas had originally wanted to argue for a jump ball or sothing, but now he just stord off.
’Why was Jack so fast on that last play? How did it feel like he was getting faster each ti? And... the way he took off looked just like .’
In that final mont, it truly felt like he was dueling with himself.
’Damn it, did that Little Sheep Su Xi steal my talent? He wasn’t this fast or this explosive when he first got here.’
...
Charles Barkley was chatting with Su Xi.
"Looks like you and LeBron have a good relationship. You guys go one-on-one like this often?" He was in a bit of an interviewer mode. Even though he wasn’t holding a microphone, this kind of material would definitely show up in his future broadcasts. He would use this first-hand information to blow the fans’ minds.
Barkley had arrived late, so he didn’t know the full story.
And Su Xi didn’t feel like explaining.
He just said, "We don’t go one-on-one that often."
"Are you planning to have a breakout ga tonight? I think you can get a triple-double with 20 points. If you’re confident, I’ll dare to bet a donkey’s ass against Kenny." Barkley revealed the most important reason for his visit.
He was here for the donkey’s ass.
To this day, the highlight of his comntary career—and also his biggest Waterloo mont—was none other than kissing that donkey’s ass. He had sworn to avenge that humiliation.
Kenny had been constantly finding fault with Su Xi, so he thought this was an opportunity.
It started with a Chinese player, and it would end with a Chinese player.
