Shi Nuan nodded slightly and said, "Mm, I understand!"
Song Qingyang smiled and said, "In that case, I hope Second Aunt will say so good words for in front of Second Uncle in the future... It’s getting late, I’ve taken up too much of your ti, and Second Uncle might not be pleased, so I’ll head off now. As for you... take care of yourself!"
After speaking, she clenched her purse tightly and shot a fierce look at Shi Nuan before turning to open the door.
Shi Nuan, however, hurriedly called out to her at that mont.
Song Qingyang sneered, "What? I’ve said what I needed to say, can’t I leave now?"
Shi Nuan looked at her and said, "You want Second Uncle to see that we’ve talked it over and resolved our issues, but do you think he’ll believe it if you leave alone?"
Song Qingyang’s eyes flickered for a mont.
Shi Nuan walked over and reached out to hold one of Song Qingyang’s hands.
Shi Nuan’s fingers were light, soft, and a bit cool to the touch.
The overall feeling she gave was so light and ethereal, making one instinctively want to protect her.
Is it her frailty that caught Second Uncle’s eye, leaving him so bewitched that he couldn’t do without her?
Shi Nuan tightened her grip on Song Qingyang’s hand, reached out, opened the door, and softly said, "Let’s go down."
Then, she led Song Qingyang out the door of the guest room.
Song Qingyang stood at one ter seventy, a bit taller than one ter sixty-six Shi Nuan.
Shi Nuan was wearing flat shoes now, and Song Qingyang happened to be wearing seven-centiter high heels today.
With her slim fra, Song Qingyang appeared much taller standing in front of Shi Nuan.
Being pulled along by such a Shi Nuan, Song Qingyang felt awkward, but she couldn’t just shake her off.
Shi Nuan was right that if they wanted Second Uncle to really believe that the two had repaired their relationship, they needed to put on a bit of a show.
She disdained to actively seek Shi Nuan’s help. Now that Shi Nuan had co to her willingly, she had no reason to refuse.
Soon, the two of them arrived at the staircase, and Shi Nuan softly whispered two words to Song Qingyang: "Smile!"
Song Qingyang was startled for a mont, but Shi Nuan was already leading her downstairs, and Song Yansheng naturally noticed them at that mont.
Seeing them arm in arm, he smiled a little, feeling considerably reassured.
Hurriedly, Song Qingyang also mustered a smile and called out to Song Yansheng, "Second Uncle!"
Song Yansheng didn’t respond imdiately, and when the two of them reached the first floor, he stepped forward, took Shi Nuan’s hand, and drew her to his side.
Then she let go of Song Qingyang’s hand.
Song Yansheng looked at the young girl and then at Song Qingyang.
He asked, "What? Have you talked it over?"
Shi Nuan nodded, "It wasn’t a big deal anyway; isn’t it normal to have a chat and resolve things?"
Song Yansheng seed unconvinced and squinted, asking, "Really?"
Shi Nuan imdiately nodded vigorously, "Of course, it’s true!"
By this ti, Song Qingyang had beco smarter and said, "Second Uncle, whether it’s true or not, you’ll see with ti. It’s getting late, I won’t disturb you and Second Aunt’s rest any longer, I’ll be leaving now!"
The words "Second Aunt," which Song Qingyang used to avoid, finally ca out, and Song Yansheng believed her seven or eight-tenths.
Of course, he still harbored suspicions that the two girls might have tead up to deceive him.
Yet irrespective of whether it was a trick, he didn’t care because how Song Qingyang treated Shi Nuan, or vice versa, was entirely irrelevant to him and didn’t require his concern.
Naturally, if so relationship repair did occur, at least it might slightly ease the young girl’s mind.
After all, that awkward layer of relationship between him and her couldn’t be ignored even if they wanted to.
