At five o’clock that afternoon, Song Yansheng got off work on ti.
He went to the Song Family Mansion to pick up Shi Nuan.
Naturally, since they were there, they couldn’t just leave imdiately after picking her up.
The two of them only left after having dinner. Yu Yao wanted them to stay, but seeing her son’s slightly knitted brows, she sensed his thoughts and said no more.
Around nine in the evening, Song Yansheng took Shi Nuan back to the Song Mansion.
On the way, Song Yansheng didn’t say much. Shi Nuan’s gaze remained fixed on the outside, seemingly fascinated by the city’s distant lights.

Song Yansheng’s left hand had one as well.

Later, when the car arrived at the Song Mansion, the driver got out to open the door but was stopped by Shi Nuan waving her hand.
Aunt Hui ca with a group of servants to welco them, and upon seeing the scene, stood outside without daring to move.
Eventually, the driver exchanged a glance with Aunt Hui, who understood and led the servants away.
The driver soon left as well.
Inside the car, Song Yansheng remained leaning against Shi Nuan’s shoulder, with the surroundings very quiet, only their light breathing audible.
Shi Nuan felt the warmth of the man’s palm, and her heart rate never slowed down throughout the journey.
She pressed her lips together, subconsciously gripping Song Yansheng’s hand in return, and couldn’t help but smile at the corners of her mouth.
Then she slightly tilted her head, resting it against Song Yansheng’s head, and closed her eyes.
