Sienna Johnson had originally intended to return to Sileria City imdiately, as she couldn’t let go of the child. With her body now fit for air travel, she returned to Bluzell City once again, accompanied by Noah Phillips.
On the plane, Sienna felt a bit embarrassed and said, "Brother, you’re so busy. You don’t have to accompany ; I can go alone."
Noah was indeed busy, even working while on the plane.
Hearing Sienna’s words, Noah turned his head, looked at her through his glasses, and said, "Your body hasn’t fully recovered yet. How could I rest assured if you went alone? Besides, I also want to see this child of yours..."
Sienna, now an adult, felt sowhat embarrassed to be called ’Baby’ by a man. "My na is Sienna Johnson now. Please, just call Sienna."
"Why won’t you let call you ’Baby’ anymore?"
"Because I have a baby of my own now. And when you call ’Baby’, ’Baby’, it makes feel like I’m still a child."
"Oh, I understand. You’re shy."
Sienna was left speechless.
When their flight arrived in Bluzell City, they disembarked. As soon as Noah turned on his phone, it started ringing non-stop with calls and ssages. He was incredibly busy.
Sienna teased him, "You’re certainly in demand, huh?"
"My family business is huge, and my father just retired this year. Now I’m handling everything alone, and sotis it’s overwhelming," Noah explained.
"...Is your father good to you?" Sienna asked.
"Very good, though sotis he’s too strict with ." Noah seed quite happy as he said this, a sowhat resigned smile playing on his lips.
Noah’s situation differed from Sienna’s. Sienna had been mistakenly taken by the wrong family, while Noah had been stolen by an enemy of the Phillips Family. Being the only child of the Phillips Family, he naturally received everyone’s love.
How foolish of to ask that, Sienna thought.
Noah noticed the fleeting disappointnt on Sienna’s face. Thinking of her situation, he said, "’Baby’, you’ve grown up now. If they don’t treat you well, you don’t have to be sad... In this world, relationships are all about fate... between parents and children as well. If a child doesn’t have a good relationship with their parents, it just ans their fated connection wasn’t strong enough..."
Sienna didn’t know much about Noah, but Noah knew Sienna quite well. He knew that Sienna hadn’t had a happy life in the Johnson family, which was why he’d said those words to comfort her.
However, Sienna was already grown up, old enough not to need her parents anymore.
"Thank you."
Seeing from Sienna’s expression that she clearly didn’t want to discuss it further, Noah dropped the topic.
After all, they had both grown up, and growing up often brought distance.
「In Bluzell City,」
Sienna arrived feeling apprehensive. She had completely forgotten the father of her child and didn’t know how she would face them if she actually t the child and the child’s father.
At this mont, Sienna was still the 20-year-old version of herself, even though she was now 22.
"Eat sothing; you skipped breakfast." Noah bought a hamburger for Sienna, rembering she used to love them when she was little.
"Thank you, I’m not hungry."
Noah, however, beca insistent. "You must eat!" After saying that, he took a bite himself and frowned. "Why does this taste so bad? I rember the burgers we ate when we were little were delicious."
Sienna laughed and took a bite of the hamburger in her hand. It was a bit greasy. "When we were little, we couldn’t afford much good food, so we thought everything tasted great. President Phillips, you’re accustod to the finest delicacies now; there’s hardly anything you haven’t tried," Sienna teased.
Noah frowned and replied, "’Baby’, I’m still the sa as before."
Sienna shook her head and began to eat, one bite after another. Everyone changes, and I’ve changed too. She knew she was no longer the Belinda Rafael of the past.
「Three days later.」
Early in the morning, before Sienna had woken up, there was a knock on her door. Thinking it was the staff, Sienna didn’t change out of her nightgown, just slipped on a long coat and went to answer it. As soon as she opened the door, a woman rushed toward her, wailing.
"Mai, where have you been... SOB SOB SOB..."
Mai? Who was that?
Sienna looked blankly at the man, woman, and child in front of her. Seeing the woman crying, the child pouted and burst into tears as well. Instantly, the room was filled with the sound of crying.
What in the world is going on?
"Miss Johnson, may we co in first?" the man beside the woman spoke, his gaze searching.
"Oh, please co in." Sienna glanced at the child again. Although she said nothing, she had a vague idea of what was happening.
Noah had helped her register missing person information at the Police Station. Could this child be hers? And that man... Sienna inwardly lanted her taste; that man wasn’t her type at all. That man had better not be the child’s father! She felt nothing for him whatsoever. If she found out she’d had a child with such an ordinary-looking man, Sienna felt she would completely break down.
"Please, have a seat," Sienna invited.
The three of them sat down on the sofa. Kiki carefully sized Sienna up. Seeing that she was fine, safe and sound, the worry Kiki had been holding onto finally eased.
"Mai, what on earth happened? Why were you missing for so long?" Kiki asked.
Sienna looked at them, a headache starting to form, and explained, "You must have mistaken for soone else. My na is Sienna Johnson. I’m from Orienta, not Mai."
Kiki blinked at Sienna. "Mai, what’s wrong with you? It’s like you don’t recognize anymore?"
"And her? Do you still recognize her? Curly, Curly Baby, your daughter." Kiki gently pushed Curly Baby into Sienna’s arms. Curly Baby hadn’t seen her mother for several months and had long forgotten her. Finding herself in a stranger’s embrace, she started bawling.
"Curly Baby, don’t cry, it’s Mommy."
Kiki didn’t take the child back, just cooed from the side. Curly Baby cried for a mont, then pouted, lips trembling as she held back sobs, and looked at Kiki with pitiful eyes that seed to ask, Why aren’t you holding ?
The silent Lucas Robertson finally spoke. "Miss Johnson, I heard you were in a car accident."
"Yes. I won’t hide it from you; I was in a coma for three months and only woke up not long ago... There are many things I don’t rember."
"Ah? Amnesia?" Kiki looked at Sienna in surprise.
Though she felt helpless, it was the truth. Sienna gave a bitter smile and nodded. "Yes. I don’t rember you either, and this child..." Sienna’s gaze lingered on the child’s face. The child looked back at her and smiled, revealing tender gums and two tiny teeth the size of rice grains.
The child’s eyes... Sienna didn’t know why, but when she saw them, her heart gave an inexplicable flutter. Maybe this child really was her daughter.
