Adrian’s face, already unpleasant, grew even darker. Annoyed, he said, "She’s giving birth. What does that have to do with ?"

The relationship between lanie Carpenter and Adrian Desmond was special. While Walter might have guessed Adrian’s reaction to certain things, he didn’t dare act without authorization; he still needed to inform Adrian.
"Any clues from the people sent to Raelnia yet?"
All leads had dried up. Adrian could only focus on Raelnia, searching one by one. He didn’t believe he wouldn’t be able to find her!
"No," Walter said softly.
The na Mai was extrely common in Raelnia; almost one-tenth of the female population was nad "Mai." They had screened everyone, but none of them was the Mai Adrian was looking for.
"Sixth Master, do you think it’s possible that Madam isn’t nad Mai?" Walter voiced his suspicion.
In the underground parking lot, Adrian stopped abruptly and turned to look at him. "Why do you think that?" he asked.
"Madam said she’s Raelnian. However, we’ve searched every Mai in Raelnia and still haven’t found any trace of her. So, I’m wondering if the na Mai is fake. Otherwise, how could there be no record of Madam in the Raelnian household registration?"

"Madam has always been clever and cunning. She wanted to escape from the very beginning, so I wonder if Madam..." Walter trailed off, glancing at Adrian. Adrian’s expression was cold and aloof, and Walter didn’t dare continue.

Walter shivered; the forbidding, icy aura around Adrian intensified. In this world, besides Adrian himself, Walter was the second person most desperate to find Sienna Johnson.

Jule waited anxiously outside the delivery room.
When lanie realized Adrian wouldn’t be coming, she stopped making any sound, even though the pain was so intense she felt close to death.

Deeply worried, Jule asked, "lanie, what’s wrong? Are you okay? If it’s too unbearable, we can opt for a cesarean section."
lanie let out a pain-filled scream, making Jule’s heart pound with fear. Then, silence. When lanie made no further sound, Jule beca even more alard. Shouldn’t won scream during childbirth? Why had lanie fallen silent?

"Jule, I want to see Sixth Brother... It hurts so much. Can you ask Sixth Brother to co and be with , please?" lanie wept.
Jule sighed inwardly, his heart heavy with sorrow. Why could she never see him? He had loved lanie for so many years, yet she consistently refused to accept him. And now, they even had a child together.
"Alright, I’ll go find him." Jule didn’t try to dissuade her. Her obsession was as deep-seated as his own; his was for her, while hers was for Adrian.
"Jule, go now! I’m going to die! I must see Sixth Brother before I die..."
lanie hadn’t seen Adrian for a full six months. He provided her with a lavish lifestyle—a mansion, servants, and an inexhaustible supply of money—yet he was too miserly to grant her even a single eting.
She didn’t want the mansion, the servants, or the endless money; she just wanted to see Adrian, just once. She missed him so much, she felt like she was going mad.
lanie looked at her greatly swollen belly, a flash of bitter resentnt in her eyes. Why wasn’t this child Adrian’s? If this child were Adrian’s, he would never ignore her like this.

Jule’s mood plumted. He slamd his fist hard against the wall, then, his face contorted with fury, he went to find Adrian.

When the Servant announced Jule’s arrival, Adrian was in the nursery.
The nursery was now filled with all sorts of baby items, things Adrian had seen and bought for his son during his business trips.
"What’s he doing here?" Adrian asked, frowning.
"He didn’t say, Sir. Only that he wants to see you, Sixth Master," the Servant reported.
"I won’t see him!"
Ever since Adrian learned that the child in lanie’s womb was Jule’s, he had been at odds with Jule. Adrian had been willing to step aside for them, to even help them. But what had Jule done? He got lanie pregnant and then refused to marry her. Now, everyone outside believed the child in lanie’s womb was his. No matter how much Adrian explained, he couldn’t convince them otherwise. His greatest fear was Sienna misunderstanding. That woman was so fiercely jealous. Nowadays, Adrian didn’t dare even think about other won, let alone glance at a beautiful one on the street. He knew her boundaries all too well. That’s why, even after she left, he had remained faithful.
"Mai," he murmured, "lanie’s child isn’t mine. Don’t be as foolish as those people, believing the child in her belly is mine."
Even though they had publicly announced their divorce in the newspapers, lanie still paraded herself around as "Adrian’s woman." As her belly grew, he’d been unfairly saddled with the role of the father.
The Servant left, then returned, his face etched with anxiety. "Sixth Master, he insists on seeing you! He also said that if he can’t see you, he won’t leave tonight!"
Threatening ?
Adrian placed a toy gun beside the teddy bear in the crib, then used the crib for support as he pushed himself up. The bells on the crib mobile JINGLED with his movent.
"Tell him to wait for in the study," Adrian said.
He’d see what exactly this Jule was up to!
"Yes, sir."

In the study, when Adrian sauntered in, Jule was already there, pacing back and forth impatiently.
Jule’s face was a mask of anger and agitation. Seeing Adrian, he gritted his teeth and said, "lanie is in the hospital, about to give birth. She wants to see you. Please, go and see her."
Adrian glanced at Jule, his eyes filled with an unspeakable iciness. "You’re the child’s father. Shouldn’t you be the one by her side? What business is it of mine?"
