"Sabrina Johnson, we’re at this point, and you’re still lying?!" Second Sister-in-law scoffed, staring at the woman who was so blatantly telling falsehoods.

Grandma Briggs shot a look of great displeasure at Sabrina Johnson, then said to her daughter, "Pauline, call Sienna and tell her Sabrina Johnson is here with us."

Adrian Desmond gazed tenderly at Sienna Johnson, whose brows were tightly furrowed. He reached out, his fingertips gently tracing the lines on her forehead, trying to smooth them away. It’s not always a good thing for a woman to be so fiercely strong-willed, he thought.
"I promised to take you hunting in the Soilliers jungles, but then you ran off."
"I’m not interested in hunting!"
"Yes, all you care about now is money!" Adrian Desmond mocked.
The two of them basked in the glow of the setting sun. Sunlight stread through the window, stretching their shadows long across the floor. They sat there quietly, like figures in a painting.
"I just want to beco strong! Only when you’re strong can you protect the people you love."
"Sienna, among all the people you want to protect, am I one of them?"
