Adrian Desmond left the depressed Sienna Johnson behind and departed.
Dressed all in black, Adrian swung his long legs over his Harley Motorcycle, put on his helt, started the engine, and said to Sienna, "A rape, murder, and dismbernt case just happened here last week. You’d better watch out!"
Sienna was speechless.
"Good luck. I hope you live to see tomorrow’s sunrise."
Sienna still couldn’t find any words.
"Goodbye!"
"Wait! Are you really going to leave alone in a place like this?" Sienna asked in disbelief.
This place was definitely in the middle of nowhere. Not only did she not have a single penny on her, but even if she had money, there were no taxis. And if a car did co by, she probably wouldn’t dare get in.
"You once told not to be too nice to won who don’t concern . I think you were right about that. Until you agree to marry and beco my wife, I don’t see any need to be too nice to you," Adrian said with conviction.
"When did I ever say such ridiculous things?"
"You’ve lost your mory, so naturally, you don’t rember anything."
So, this man was just spouting nonsense to trick her!
Sienna looked at Adrian, gradually calming down. The man in front of her, if he kept quiet, was indeed quite captivating. His handso features and cool, aloof deanor easily created a ’bad boy’ image that could bewitch young girls. Unfortunately for him, Sienna was no longer a little girl.
She must have been out of her mind to run off with this man.
Her phone rang. Sienna took her phone out of her handbag, saw the caller ID, and hung up. The phone imdiately rang again—persistent and grating.
Sienna turned her back to answer it.
"Madam Johnson, what do you want?" Her tone was icy. Her mood was terrible right now, and she really didn’t want to deal with Madam Johnson.
"Are you with that man, Adrian Desmond, right now?" Pauline Briggs asked, getting straight to the point.
"Yes!"
Mother Johnson gasped, nearly choking. Furious, she commanded, "You get ho right now!"
"Sienna, did you hear ?" When Sienna didn’t answer, Mother Johnson grew more anxious and angry. "Sienna, I know you’re not thinking clearly right now. Kenneth Brown is no good, and I can tell at a glance that this Adrian Desmond isn’t any good either. Hurry up and co ho!"
"Madam Johnson, since when did you develop the ability to judge character?" Sienna retorted sarcastically.
Madam Johnson has always been blind. Otherwise, how could she have failed to see Sabrina Johnson’s true colors all these years?
"Sienna, listen to your mother for once. That Adrian Desmond is no good. Hurry ho! Otherwise, who knows what the papers will say tomorrow."
Vicious rumors are a terrifying thing. Sienna could already imagine herself plastered across tomorrow’s headlines.
"Sienna! Where are you? I’ll have the Driver pick you up!"
Sienna laughed coldly. "Madam Johnson, are you actually concerned about ?"
"Sienna Johnson, you’re not a child anymore! Can you stop throwing a tantrum?" Pauline Briggs had lost her patience too.
"Do you think I’m throwing a tantrum, Madam Johnson?" she retorted, her voice laced with sorrow. "Madam Johnson, I’m not Sabrina Johnson. I don’t have the luxury of acting childish in front of you." Tonight, Sienna felt particularly vulnerable.
She, Sienna Johnson, had beco a laughingstock!
"Sienna!"
"Madam Johnson, don’t try to sound so considerate, as if you’re looking out for my best interests. In reality, aren’t you just afraid I’ll disgrace the Johnson Family?"
"Sienna, I am concerned about you!"
"I don’t need it!"
The events of tonight reminded Sienna of when she first ca to the Johnson Family. Sabrina Johnson had frad her for stealing. At the banquet, when the ’stolen’ goods were found on her, she had been unable to defend herself. Her father had saved her then, but the father who could save her was gone now.
There was no one left to protect her.
Sienna turned and looked at Adrian. He was also looking at her, his gaze complex. A desperate and sorrowful thought shot through her mind. Staring at Adrian, she said to Mother Johnson on the phone, "Madam Johnson, I’m going to marry Adrian Desmond!"
A jolt went through Adrian. An imnse wave of joy washed over him. He clenched his fists, barely stopping himself from rushing over and pulling her into his arms.
He had sched for so long, and finally, his wish was coming true.
"What nonsense are you spouting? That Adrian Desmond is no good! Sienna, listen to your mother this once, he’s a bad man!"
Ignoring Mother Johnson’s fury, Sienna hung up.
Mother Johnson called back imdiately, the phone ringing incessantly. Annoyed by the shrill ringtone, Sienna simply turned her phone off.
Adrian watched her. Sienna walked towards him, step by step, slowly, hesitantly. Finally, she stopped in front of him. Lifting her eyes to his radiant face, she asked awkwardly, "So... you want to be my wife?"
Her words were definitely mixed up, but the aning—marriage—was clear. Adrian nodded. "Yes!"
"Then let’s get married!"
"Okay!"
Warmth spread over her as he took off his leather jacket and put it on her. Sienna felt the heat on her bare shoulders. He leaned down, kissed her cold lips, and said, "I’ll love you with all my heart!"
This ti, I won’t let you run away again!
He placed the helt on her head, not wanting to see the sorrow on her face. She was marrying him, yet her expression was like she was attending a funeral. Adrian found it incredibly frustrating.
Sienna put on the helt, hiding her vulnerability from sight.
"From now on, you’re my woman. If anyone dares to bully you, tell , and I’ll make them pay!"
Her heart skipped a beat. She asked, "And what if you’re the one who bullies ?"
"Then you’ll just have to bear it!"
Sienna was speechless again.
"There’s a Cafe nearby. I’ll buy you a coffee. Get on!"
"In the middle of nowhere like this? Are you sure it’s not so shady shop?"
"Even if it is a shady shop, I’m here. What’s there to be afraid of?"
Sienna didn’t say anything else and obediently got onto Adrian’s motorcycle.

In a rundown Cafe, Sienna was still in her white wedding dress, now with a man’s black leather jacket draped over her. The man himself wore a black T-shirt, his muscular arms bare and tattooed. Sienna really disliked tattoos on n.
Adrian said, "Get a latte."
The cashier asked, "Sir, would you like your latte iced or hot?"
Adrian replied, "Iced."
The cashier inford him, "Sir, our lattes don’t contain sugar, so it’ll be a bit bitter."
Adrian said, "That’s fine."
The cashier continued, "And what size would you like? We have dium, large, and extra-large."
Adrian stated, "Small."
The cashier said, "Alright, two small lattes. Would you like any dessert with that?"
Adrian corrected, "One small latte, and one cup of plain boiled water. Nothing else."
From start to finish, Adrian, Sienna’s supposed Fiance, never once asked her what she wanted to drink, unilaterally ordering a bitter latte for her.
