"Cold war? Who said we’re in a cold war? We just aren’t talking."

"There’s a resort in Blackwood. Why don’t you ask Sienna to join us for a dip in the hot springs?"
Paige wanted to create an opportunity for them. Seeing them like this before she had to leave truly worried her.
Although Adrian kept a stern face, he was tempted. Who would want a wife they couldn’t even see or touch? "You ask her. If I do, she’ll definitely say she doesn’t have ti." He knew that damn woman too well.
"Alright."
Paige called Sienna, but the line was constantly busy. After trying for half an hour, just as Paige was about to give up, Adrian lost his composure.
Who could a woman possibly talk to on the phone for a solid half hour?
When he and Sienna spoke, it was always brief, just a few words about what needed to be said, and then that heartless woman would hang up. But here she was, chatting away for half an hour with who knows who!
This was unacceptable to Adrian.
He called Sienna himself. It was the first ti Adrian had actively reached out to her after a week of their cold war.
Unexpectedly, while Paige hadn’t been able to get through, his call connected imdiately. Before he could even feel a flicker of pleasure, he heard Sienna’s voice on the other end. "Noah Phillips, what’s up? Why did we get disconnected just now?"
So, she’d been talking to that pretty boy for all this ti.
"Sienna Johnson, you barely manage a few sentences with before you have to hang up, yet you have so much to chat about with that pretty boy, huh?" Adrian’s tone was dripping with sarcasm.
The thought of this man losing her diamond necklace still made Sienna’s anger simr.
"Is there sothing you need?"
That line again! If he dared to say ’nothing,’ she would undoubtedly hang up on him.
"Sienna Johnson!" Adrian roared, exasperated and angry.
Her voice was cold as she asked, "Adrian Desmond, why are you calling ?"
"Heh..." A cold chuckle, like an owl’s hoot in a dark forest, sounded particularly chilling. "Sienna Johnson, you’re my woman. Is there a problem with calling you?"
Sienna frowned. "Adrian, must you always be so crude, referring to yourself like that? Can’t you just say ’I’ like a normal person?"
"Sienna Johnson, let remind you one more ti: you’d better understand your place! I’m not a spineless loser like Kenneth Brown. If you dare cheat on , I will make you regret it!"
Adrian completely ignored what Sienna had just said.
She hated his rudeness, his impossibility for normal conversation. CLICK. Sienna hung up on Adrian. On the other end, Adrian was stunned by her action, staring blankly at the "Call Ended" notification on his screen for a good while before he could react.
She... she actually dared to hang up on ?
"Sienna Johnson!"
Paige felt a headache coming on. "Brother, can you please not be so rude? Sienna doesn’t like rude n."
"She still ran off when I was gentle with her before!"
"Brother, acting like this will only push Sienna further away. Do you plan to continue this cold war indefinitely?"
Of course, he didn’t want that. But all he did was throw away the necklace Noah Phillips gave her, right? And for that, she actually had the nerve to give him attitude! Adrian couldn’t stand it.
"I get it."
"Get what?"
Adrian stood up and left.

Actually, Adrian had truly misjudged Sienna. She was genuinely busy, so swamped that she barely had ti to eat.
With Kenneth Brown gone from Eastminster Pharmaceutical Factory, the place was leaderless. Until a new Manager could be found, Sienna had no choice but to take over all of the factory’s operations. Only then did she realize just how exhausting Kenneth’s job had been.
Yet, no matter how tired Kenneth had been, he would always inquire solicitously about her well-being. When she worked overti, knowing she loved soup, he would go out of his way to prepare various kinds for her. He was nothing like Adrian, who only knew how to be chauvinistic.

With his handso features and a roguish air, Adrian looked incredibly striking standing beside a flashy Harley Motorcycle, a cigarette dangling from his lips. His lazy, seductive gaze instantly captivated the hearts of many young won nearby.
In stark contrast to Adrian’s ostentation, Sienna was the epito of low-key.
She wore a beige trench coat with a tie-waist, slim white trousers, leopard-print flat shoes, and large, black-frad glasses. Her long hair was casually pulled back into a ponytail, giving her a distinctly studious appearance.
"Sienna Johnson!"
Hearing her na, Sienna turned towards the sound. The mont she saw Adrian, the faint expression on her face clouded over.
"Get over here, now!"
Seeing her hesitation, Adrian’s temper flared, his tone turning harsh.
Afraid he might cause a scene, Sienna quickened her pace and approached him. "You were looking for ?"
Adrian’s eyes bored into Sienna, practically spitting fire. He took a long drag from his cigarette, then flicked the butt to the ground, grinding it out with the heel of his leather shoe. Lifting his gaze, he said, "A friend of mine is here. Co on, I’ll introduce you."
"I’m sorry, I don’t wish to et your friends."
Adrian was not known for his patience. One long leg propped on his motorcycle, he was about to put on his helt. He turned his handso face, eyeing Sienna coldly. "Why not?"
"I don’t think your friends would like ."
Excuses, excuses, all of them excuses!
Adrian gazed at Sienna’s indifferent face and let out a soft, cold laugh. "Since you’ve agreed to marry , don’t even think about backing out. Besides, you’re my fiancee; you have certain obligations to fulfill."
"My obligations do not include indulging your madness."
Adrian pulled a blue diamond necklace from his pocket and tossed it to her. "A replacent for yours. Satisfied now?"
This blue diamond necklace had larger stones than the one Noah had given her and was undoubtedly far more valuable. However, Sienna cherished the lost necklace not for its monetary worth, but simply because it had been a gift from Noah.
"I don’t want it!"
"Why not? This one is worth much more than the one that pretty boy gave you!"
"In that case, Sixth Master, you should keep it."
