"Must I marry into the Johnson family?" Noah Phillips asked her, his face filled with unhappiness.
Sienna Johnson glanced at him and gently nodded.
She had made her vows in the mourning hall in front of so many people. She would never let anyone undermine the Johnson Family’s integrity or mock them for their lack of credibility.
Noah sat there, preoccupied with his thoughts as he stared at the dinner spread. Sienna picked at the food in her bowl with her chopsticks, her appetite completely gone.
After a long while, with most of the food uneaten and now cold, Sienna said, "Brother, I should head to the office."
"What if I am willing to marry into your family?" Noah had made his decision. He looked at her, his gaze so firm and determined that Sienna found it impossible to laugh it off.
"There’s no way you can do that," Sienna whispered.
Given Noah’s family situation and status, it was impossible for him to marry into the diminutive Johnson Family. Sienna gave a soft laugh and shook her head. "Brother, can’t we be siblings for life?"
"Siblings for life?"

Hearing this heartfelt confession from the man she admired, Sienna Johnson was deeply moved. She had to admit that her heart fluttered.
"I will persuade my grandfather to let marry into your family. However, one of the sons we have must carry the Phillips surna!" This was Noah’s bottom line. Just as the Johnson family needed to continue its lineage, so did the Phillips family. This would be his bargaining chip to convince his grandfather.
But Sienna wasn’t blinded by her emotions just yet. She was being cautious. Her brow furrowed as she said conservatively, "Noah, I’m a bit confused right now. Let think about it."
"Alright. Take your ti to think. I have waited for you for so many years; I can wait a few more days."
She was grateful for his consideration and gave him a small smile. He smiled back at her, his gaze warm and gentle.

Adrian Desmond was injured. Sienna had gotten him the best dical care and even had a nanny deliver als to him three tis a day. However, she didn’t visit Adrian herself.
Surprisingly, Adrian didn’t persist in bothering her either. This brought so relief to Sienna, as she wasn’t sure how to handle his persistent nature.
"Although Adrian’s actions were a case of excessive self-defense, a life was still lost. We should offer so compensation. They are to be pitied," Sienna comnted sympathetically, sighing softly.
"Yes," Gary Fisher agreed, aware of Sienna’s kind heart. Given that it wasn’t a large sum of money, he allowed her to decide.
Since Gary Fisher was loyal to Noah, he naturally sided with him. He took the opportunity to belittle Adrian, saying, "Although it was a robbery, Adrian used excessive force. He actually killed soone with his first move."

Sienna checked her watch and saw that it was close to the end of the workday. Since she had finished all of her work early, she decided to leave early to pick up her daughter from kindergarten.
She stood up, put on her coat, and her phone rang. It was an international number she did not recognize. Who could this be? Sienna wondered.
Sienna tossed her hair back, exposing her beautifully shaped ear. She held the phone to her ear and asked, "Hello, Sienna Johnson speaking. Who is this?"
"Long ti no see..."
Upon hearing that voice, Sienna’s face darkened. Even after all these years, she recognized lanie Carpenter’s voice.
lanie’s voice was truly unforgettable.
She would never forget that day. After seeing the divorce announcent in the newspaper, she had excitedly called Adrian, like a fool. But lanie had answered the phone. It was because of what lanie said that she beca distraught, failed to notice an oncoming car, and had an accident.
"Mrs. Desmond, why are you calling ?" she asked coldly.
"Did Adrian go to see you?" lanie got straight to the point; Adrian was likely the only thing the two won had to discuss.
"Yes, the Sixth Master is indeed in Sileria City..." She didn’t ntion that Adrian had co to see her specifically.
"Do you plan on going back to Abyanabad with him?"
"No!"
lanie let out a cold laugh, her voice like a poisonous snake lurking in the dark, watching her. "I hear you have a daughter with Adrian?"
"What exactly are you trying to say?"
The two of them used to be rivals in love. While she had broken up with Adrian, their relationship was certainly not amicable enough for casual conversation.
"Adrian has a son nad Devin Desmond, did you know that?"
