Once a woman has a child, she has sothing to worry about and can no longer be as carefree as before. A child is like the person flying a kite, and she is the kite soaring in the sky.

However, the kite string is firmly held in the child’s hand; no matter how far it flies, she will return with a gentle pull from the child.

In a strange city, on unfamiliar streets, Sienna always felt a pang of guilt whenever she thought of her child.

"It’s her first ti in Abyanabad, and she’s completely unfamiliar with the place. Kiki didn’t co along, so what if Curly cos looking for ?

"We didn’t explain things clearly when we left just now. If she realizes that both of us are gone, she might be crying and looking for right now. I feel so guilty. I’m a mother; what kind of mother leaves her child behind to go out and have fun on her own..."

"..."

"I’m usually so busy with work that I can’t be with her; that can’t be helped. But now that we have ti, how can we both leave our child and go out to have fun together?" Sienna couldn’t shake off her guilt, and even after getting into Adrian’s car, she kept repeating herself.

"If she finds out that we both sneaked out to have fun, she’ll definitely miss ..."

"..."

"Adrian, why aren’t you saying anything?"

"I’ve realized you can be quite presumptuous sotis."

"What do you an?" Sienna asked, a hint of displeasure in her voice.

Adrian ignored Sienna and took out his phone. He put it on speaker and called Poppy, who was taking care of Curly.

"Sixth Master..." Poppy greeted respectfully.

"Where’s Curly?"

"She’s playing on the yacht."

Adrian slowly pulled the car over to the side of the road, looked at Sienna, and asked, "Has she cried?"

"No, the Young Miss is very happy."

"Has she cried looking for her mom?"

"No."

As soon as the call connected, Sienna could hear Curly’s joyful laughter on the other end. It didn’t make Sienna feel any better; on the contrary, it made her feel particularly dejected.

As a child, she had been an orphan for many years and craved motherly love. Even before Curly was born, she had wanted to be a good mother and give her daughter lots of love. However, she later took over the Eastminster Group, and so much work was waiting for her. Consequently, Curly spent more ti with Kiki than she did with Sienna.

That was precisely why Sienna would spend any free ti she had with her daughter, fostering their mother-daughter bond.

Actually, when she and Adrian ditched their daughter to go on a date, she had secretly hoped Curly would find out and cry for her to co back. That would show Sienna was important in Curly’s eyes.

But her daughter’s laughter hit her hard. Curly was fine, very independent; having her around or not didn’t seem to make much difference to her.

"Sixth Master, do you have any other instructions?" Poppy asked.

"No. Take good care of Curly and the Madams," Adrian instructed.

"Yes, Sixth Master. I’ll make sure the Madam and the Young Miss have a good ti."

Adrian hung up the phone and looked at Sienna’s dejected expression, unable to help but chuckle. "It seems you’ve done a good job instilling a sense of security in Curly; she doesn’t think your leaving ans you’ll abandon her. Unlike . I always worry you’ll leave and disappear for years, so I have no sense of security at all. That’s why I hold on to you so tightly."

Sienna shrank back in the passenger seat, looked out the window, and said despondently, "Why is this happening? When most children go to a strange place without their parents, they cry, don’t they? It seems like our daughter doesn’t care about at all; it doesn’t matter to her whether I’m around or not."

"..."

"Adrian, I’m really sad. I feel like my daughter doesn’t need ."

As Adrian started the car again, he comforted her, "Your daughter isn’t an ordinary little girl. Her carefree personality is inherited entirely from you. So you don’t need to dwell on it. That personality trait is quite good, as it’s always others who end up getting hurt."

Sienna nodded. Though she felt a little sad about not being needed by her daughter, she was relieved to see her happy.

"You need to get used to the fact that not all love is equal," Adrian said.

Sienna didn’t know if Adrian was talking about her relationship with Curly or their own. She turned her head to look at Adrian, admiring his handso profile. He was truly good-looking, and the more she looked, the better he seed. Even though Sienna knew Adrian so well, she still found herself captivated by his good looks at tis.

Sienna rested her cheek on her hand, no longer looking at the Abyanabad scenery, focusing entirely on him.

A certain man felt uneasy under a certain woman’s burning gaze. At first, Adrian pursed his lips, pretending to be calm, but eventually, he could no longer bear such a focused and eager stare. He pulled the car to the side of the road and said seriously, "Go sit in the back!"

"Why?"

"It’s not safe for you to sit in the passenger seat."

Sienna looked at herself, seatbelt properly fastened, and felt perfectly fine. "This car clearly isn’t cheap. Even in an accident, I’ll be well protected by the airbags."

"..."

"Besides, weren’t you the one who told to sit in the passenger seat and not the back? You said if I sat in the back while you were driving, you’d feel like a hired driver."

"..."

Sienna shook her head. "Wives sit in the passenger seat next to their husbands. I don’t want to sit in the back."

Adrian pursed his lips, turned his face to the window, and said uneasily, "When you stare at like that, I get distracted while driving."

"Really? You get shy when I look at you?" Sienna looked at Adrian in astonishnt. That was just too unbelievable!

"No!" He turned his head back to the window, unwilling to et Sienna’s inquisitive gaze.

"Oh, Sixth Master, why are your ears red?"

"Nonsense!"

Sienna smiled and leaned over, giving Adrian a quick, loud kiss on his slightly reddened cheek. And then, Adrian’s ears truly turned red.

"HAHA..." Sienna laughed triumphantly. "I told you your ears were red, but you wouldn’t believe !"

"You woman!"

"What about , then?"

"Go sit in the back!" Adrian kissed her forcefully and said.

"Fine, I get it. We’re an old married couple, yet you still act like so innocent young boy. Sixth Master, you don’t realize how out of character that is for you."

Sienna got out of the car and sat in the seat behind Adrian.

The car finally started again. Adrian glanced at Sienna in the rearview mirror; she was squinting, her gaze languid as she looked at the scenery.

He gave a slight, faint smile... In the past, he had always wanted to take Sienna out shopping, watch movies, and do all the things couples do.

However, back then, Sienna had always refused him, enclosing herself in a hard shell, refusing to accept him and his world.
