When a beauty cries, it not only fails to annoy but instead elicits compassion.

Large tears rolled down her eyes, dark as black gems. Seeing Samara cry, Aaron’s heart ached for her. He would willingly tear out his heart if it would stop her tears.

"I know you’re worried about your sister; she’ll be fine," Aaron said, taking out his handkerchief and gently wiping away Samara’s tears.

Seeing this, Shade patted his pocket. He wasn’t in the habit of carrying a handkerchief.

"But Shade said it’ll explode, my sister could be... BOO HOO..."

"As long as we don’t touch it, it won’t explode," Aaron replied. He knew Samara cried easily, but he hadn’t expected her to cry this much. His handkerchief was soaked.

"Don’t cry!" Shade consoled her clumsily. Seeing her pearl-like tears fall, he used his sleeve to wipe them.

"What are you doing?" Aaron pushed him away.

"Wiping her tears!"

"That’s unhygienic! If you use your sleeve, she could get an eye infection from the bacteria."

"Really?" Shade withdrew his arm. Looking at Samara, whose eyes were red and tear-stained like a little rabbit’s, he blurted out, "Don’t cry. I’ll go find Dr. X. He’s so smart; he’ll definitely know how to disarm it."

Aaron felt a surge of joy, but he feigned skepticism. "You? Just you? Can you actually do it?"

"Dr. X and I are good friends. If I ask him for help, he’ll definitely assist ."

Aaron deliberately belittled him, "Quit boasting. Everyone on Death Island knows they all listen to Night Owl, not you."

Samara stopped crying. She looked at him with watery eyes. "Shade, can you really help my sister?"

Shade nodded at Samara’s hopeful gaze. In truth, he wasn’t confident at all, yet, as if by so trick of fate, he agreed.

"Thank you, Shade! As long as you can help my sister remove that terrifying shackle, I’ll cook your favorite food every day," Samara said joyfully.

Shade, who had initially regretted agreeing so quickly, felt all hesitation vanish at Samara’s words.

Without even having to marry her, this woman was willing to cook for him every day. "Alright, I’ll help your sister get rid of ’World’s End,’ and you’ll cook for for life."

"Okay," Samara nodded firmly. Aaron, standing by, couldn’t stop her in ti.

A lifeti? Isn’t this a roundabout way of making a promise?

Why should *my* future wife cook for this fool for a lifeti?

"And one roast duck, can I take it ho to eat?" Shade asked.

If it were anyone else, he would have snatched what he wanted by now. But he dared not offend his bread and butter. He was no fool. His strategy was to keep this woman happy, so she would cook for him for the rest of his life.

Samara took a roast duck from the cupboard, packed it, and happily stuffed it into his arms. "Take it. If you want more, I can roast another for you."

"I want more tomorrow!"

"Okay."

Aaron, who stood aside, was so furious his nose practically twisted. That damn gigolo! And she... already acting like an unfaithful wife! No sense of propriety! All sorts of furious accusations flooded Aaron’s mind.

"Shade, I’m making you so much delicious food, so you must rember to help my sister remove her shackle. That shackle is so scary; I get frightened every ti I think of it on my sister..." Samara said timidly, looking pitifully at Shade. Shade reached out, intending to stroke her hair, but Aaron pulled him aside.

"Ah, there was a cockroach on the ground just now!" Aaron feigned, stomping on the floor twice.

"A cockroach? How could there be a cockroach?" Samara was afraid of all insects.

"Oh, maybe my eyes were playing tricks on , and I saw it wrong," Aaron continued to lie, seeing how scared Samara was.

Shade frowned, looking at Aaron and staring at him for a long mont. Annoyed, Aaron snapped, "What are you looking at? Haven’t you seen a handso guy before?"

"Idiot!" Shade spat out, then walked away with his roast duck.

Aaron was furious. "Stop right there!" he shouted. "Who are you calling an idiot? Explain yourself!"

Samara pulled Aaron back. "Uncle Aaron, don’t quarrel with Shade. He finally agreed to help ."

"How could you promise to cook for that silly boy for a lifeti?"

"Why not?"

Aaron sighed, looking at this naive girl. "Samara, rember, you can’t make such promises lightly. If you cook for that silly boy for a lifeti, have you thought about how your future husband would feel?"

"As long as it helps my sister, I don’t care about my future husband."

Aaron felt like crying.

Samara waved her hand. "Uncle Aaron, I’m going to find my sister now. Goodbye."

"Call Brother."

Samara smiled at Aaron, then turned and left the kitchen. On her way out, she took a pack of pickled plums, most likely to find Sienna.

Don’t they say a daughter’s heart eventually belongs outside her natal ho? Why does Samara only care about her family?

...

Uncle? Uncle? I’m definitely not your uncle! Have you ever seen such a young uncle?

Aaron touched his face, deciding to ask 001 for so anti-aging masks. He would use them diligently every day.

Ti is a butcher’s knife. I can’t let myself go to pot!

「...」

At night, the sea breeze blew in, cool and refreshing. Sienna, freshly showered, sat cross-legged on the bed, staring at the shackle on her ankle.

Adrian finished his shower, his hair still wet. He tossed a large towel to Sienna. "Dry my hair for !"

"I’m pregnant, and all you know is how to bully ."

"You’re my wife. If I don’t bully you, who should I bully?"

Because of the shackle on her ankle, Sienna spoke much more cautiously and much less than usual. Adrian was similarly silent.

She knelt behind him, drying his sowhat coarse hair, not chatting with him as she normally would.

"Did the baby move today?"

"Yes. After dinner, I ate late, so he probably got hungry and kept kicking ... He already has a bad temper."

"Just like you!"

Sienna glared at him. "More like you!"

After drying his hair, Sienna got up and put the towel on the balcony to air out. She loved the starry sky here. Countless stars glittered, seeming so close that she felt she could pluck them from the heavens just by reaching out.

"What are you doing?" Adrian also ca to the balcony. His arms reached under hers, his hands landing mischievously on her full chest.

"Where are your hands?"

"Where do you think?"

"Take them off!"
