"Sixth Brother, save ..."

lanie Carpenter was quite disheveled, her long hair ssy, and several buttons on her top had been torn off by Sienna Johnson. She was pinned down on the bed by Sienna, completely unable to resist.

Adrian Desmond jolted awake, strode forward, and forcibly separated the two won. Sienna was furious; this was the first ti in her life she had laid a hand on another woman.

"Sixth Brother... BOO HOO..." lanie threw herself into Adrian’s arms, sobbing heartbrokenly. She had probably never been so humiliated in her life.

"lanie, it’s okay now, it’s okay..." Adrian’s first move was to comfort lanie Carpenter. In his eyes, lanie seed weaker and in need of more protection.

"Sixth Brother, why did she do this? What did I do wrong?" lanie wept bitterly, her voice choked with sobs, as if she had suffered every injustice in the world.

"Adrian, do you still think you can marry both of us?" She didn’t lodge a complaint, nor did she make accusations. She rely said it calmly.

"As long as you stop being so unreasonable and overbearing, then we can!" Adrian’s face was as dark as the night.

"Adrian, do you think that if you married both of us, we could coexist peacefully?" Sienna looked at him as if looking at a joke, her gaze cold, mocking, and derisive.

It wasn’t uncommon for n in Adrian’s circle to have several wives, but none of those n’s won had ever co to blows so intensely. He wasn’t surprised that Sienna would resort to violence. However, he hadn’t expected that lanie, who was usually so gentle and demure, would also fight back.

"Sixth Brother, ever since I was old enough to understand, I knew I would beco your wife. Now my family is ruined and I’m all alone. If you don’t marry , I can only die."

To Sienna, lanie’s tone sounded like a threat. Sienna retorted, "Then go ahead and die!"

"Mai, shut your mouth!" Adrian chided.

"Adrian, you must choose! Her, or !" She couldn’t tolerate this woman!

"I will marry lanie, and you can only stay by my side!" This was Adrian’s choice!

Even though Sienna had pushed him this far, Adrian still wanted both of them.

Sienna sighed, her heart filled with bitterness and sorrow. Her heart was a chaotic mix of emotions, like an overturned bottle of five-flavor seasoning.

"I understand."

Her lower abdon throbbed with a dull ache again. Actually, she could have used the child in her womb to pressure him further, but she chose to stop. Things having reached this point, it was enough for her to see Adrian’s heart clearly. That was enough.

"Miss Carpenter, you win." She had lost, utterly and completely.

Adrian didn’t understand what was going on. When Sienna stopped making a scene, his heart suddenly lurched with panic. That feeling was fleeting, gone before he could grasp it.

"You’ve disturbed the fetus. Focus on your pregnancy and stop causing trouble. Don’t you care deeply about our son? If so, then be sensible, take care of your pregnancy. Otherwise, you’ll have regrets when the ti cos!"

"My child is mine to nurture; you don’t need to concern yourself, Sixth Master."

There was sothing off about her words, no matter how he heard them.

"Sixth Brother, I’ll take you to get the cuts on your face treated. It wouldn’t be good if they got infected." lanie, her own face still showing injuries, shot a resentful glare at Sienna before firmly pulling Adrian away.

With no one else in the room, Sienna’s tears spilled out uncontrollably. She pounded the quilt, venting the sorrow and resentnt in her heart.

She hated herself even more for not having guarded her own heart.

"You’re truly useless, woman! What’s the point of crying secretly by yourself? Why didn’t you cry in front of him just now?"

Suddenly, an unfamiliar man’s voice sounded in the room. Startled, Sienna looked towards the unfamiliar man who had just climbed in through the window.

"Who are you?"

His face was injured, with multiple bruises. One of his eyes was swollen. Sienna searched her mory several tis, but she was sure she didn’t know this man. Sienna grew wary.

"You forgot ? You saved ," the man said.

"I saved you? When? How co I don’t rember?" Sienna truly couldn’t recall the man before her.

"At Maxwell Bradford’s place, four nights ago!"

Upon the man’s reminder, Sienna rembered. However, it had been dark at the ti; the man’s face had been so badly beaten and swollen, covered in blood, that she really didn’t know what the man she had saved looked like.

The man before her was well-built and tall, with a square, resolute face. Of average looks, he exuded an air of virility. One’s face reflects one’s heart; just by looking at this man’s appearance, Sienna felt he was soone dependable.

"I rember now." Besides him, there was also a woman. "Who was that woman to you?"

"My fiancee!" The man’s eyes dimd, like the blackest night. Sienna saw this and offered comfort, "Death is irreversible. Please accept my condolences and try to find peace."

"She will live forever, in my heart." He touched the spot over his heart; he ant he would rember that woman forever, until he died.

Sienna was deeply moved for a mont. "...If she knew how much you loved her, then even in death, it would have been worth it for her."

"You were very foolish just now!" The man brought up the topic again.

This was the first ti anyone had spoken to Sienna so bluntly, without any reservation. Sienna wasn’t angry. "Yes, it was foolish. Once a woman falls in love with a man, her IQ drops."

"You’re very clever. You absolutely had better ways to handle that just now, yet you chose the stupidest one."

Facing this stranger who bore no ill will, Sienna spoke without reservation. "...I was testing him earlier. That man kept saying he loved . You see, when it ca to the crucial mont, he still chose his fiancée!"

"And then...?"

"Then I can finally give up on him."

She smiled, but her eyes were filled with sorrow. Her first love had ended in tragedy. She had lost her heart, but she couldn’t lose the battle.

Now that she had seen through Adrian’s hypocrisy, she absolutely would not let herself be soft-hearted towards him again.

"You should give up on him. Those rich and powerful n, they don’t understand love! Leaving him sooner is the smartest thing to do."

Sienna was astonished; she hadn’t expected this man to say such things.

"Everyone around advises to resign myself to being Adrian’s mistress. You’re the first person to advise to leave him, and you’re a man! I thought all n in Abyanabad considered having multiple wives and concubines to be normal, and that a woman like , who strongly objects, is the one who’s ntally ill."

"If you truly love soone, you can’t tolerate anyone else in the relationship. It’s the sa for n!" The man seed to have thought of his fiancee, his voice becoming heavy.

"Yes." Too bad Adrian didn’t understand.

She had always thought Adrian didn’t understand. But in reality, it wasn’t that he didn’t understand, but that he didn’t love her enough. She, Sienna Johnson, had simply been indulging in wishful thinking.
