"Curly, don’t stick your head out of the car window, it’s dangerous!" Adrian warned.
Adrian stopped the car, pulled Curly back, placed her securely in the child safety seat, and locked the car window.
"Behave yourself. Do you know how dangerous it was just now?"
"I’m going to die sooner or later anyway!" Curly sighed and closed her eyes, her look of despair amused Adrian.
"What are you afraid of? I’m here. Do you think I’d let your mom hit you?"
Curly suddenly opened her eyes and asked, "Really?"
"Yeah!" Adrian pinched her nose, told her to sit properly, then returned to the driver’s seat and drove ho.

As Adrian’s car pulled in, Sally hurried over, saying that Sienna Johnson was waiting for them. Sienna was giving them no ti to prepare.
Father and daughter both sighed simultaneously and walked toward the study room.
Through the carved window, Adrian saw Sienna Johnson sitting by the desk, writing calligraphy. Her silhouette was serene, calming Adrian’s mind, and he couldn’t look away.
The two entered the study, Curly hid behind her father’s back, ready to flee at any mont.
"Sienna, we’re back. Sally said you were looking for us, what’s the matter?" Adrian feigned ignorance, hoping to bluff his way through.
Sienna Johnson didn’t respond imdiately; she didn’t even lift her head, continuing to write calligraphy. After about ten minutes, when Curly could barely stand anymore, Sienna finished a sheet of paper. She lifted it, blew on it, and carefully placed it aside.
Madam is about to celebrate her 80th birthday. Sienna plans to write a copy of the Diamond Sutra for her Buddhist grandmother, hoping the Buddha will bless her with good health and longevity.
"Sienna, if you write every day, what if you get exhausted?"
Seeing her finish, Adrian walked over, intending to massage her shoulders. Sienna shot him a sharp look.

Sienna glared at Adrian, "Adrian, you’re the father, how can you condone her behavior?
She’s so young and already trying to be crafty, what about when she grows up?
Her future path, she’d surely turn crooked."
"The howork is too much, she couldn’t finish it, what could she do?"
Adrian explained on his daughter’s behalf, but it did nothing to quell Sienna’s anger; instead, it fueled it.
"Why couldn’t she finish it? Because she left two months’ worth of howork to do in the last few days, so she couldn’t finish it.
If she stuck to doing a little each day, this wouldn’t happen."
"Adults slack off at tis, let alone children. Children inherently have weak self-control, you’re too demanding of her."

Sienna and Adrian began to argue, Sienna’s face grew more frightening, Curly, already scared of Sienna, dared not move.
"Curly, you go outside first, I need to talk to mom," Adrian said, unable to bear his daughter’s frightened expression.
Curly stood frozen with fear, Adrian sighed and said, "See, you’re scaring her."
"Yes, it’s all my fault! Adrian, you’ll teach her in the future, I’m not going to care!"
