However, in the face of Yao Ran’s plaint, Xu Xuan didn’t make a sound. Instead, she lowered her head and endured her words.
Rolling her eyes, Qin Jing scowled. “What’s the matter with you? Just because you weren’t able to pay to block the ball, you push the blame on someone else?”
As soon as she saw Xu Xuan bowing her head, she couldn’t help but feel a little bit disappointed in her idol. Wasn’t Xu Xuansupposed to be a sportswoman?
Why did it look like she was nothing but a doormat?
Not only was she wronged, but she simply decided to do nothing and bow her head. If Qin Jing was in her position, she would’ve just thrown the racket up in the air and left her.

God, who was in their right mind to help Yao Ran play this game anyway? It was just unrewarding.
Perhaps, the petition was the eye-opener she needed. Qin Jing had always viewed Xu Xuanas this unrelenting goddess. Yet, it seemed, she was just a dormant people would readily walk over.
Upon hearing Qin Jing’s sarcasm, she flushed in embarrassment. “I’m simply reminding my teammate,” she snapped. “I wasn’t blaming her for anything.”
“Please.” Qin Jing picked up the ball and got ready to serve.
This time, Qin Jing served the ball directly in Yao Ran’s direction. Just like Yao Tang’s skill, her strength and speed were unparalleled as the ball shot through the air.
At the sight, Yao Ran could feel her arm weaken, unable to react.
When she glanced at the ball again, she saw it heading straight to her face.
Yao Ran subconsciously raised her other hand to shield her face, unable to care about the ball at all. The cheers grew even louder, begging her to move, but it was almost as if her feet were glued to the ground.
Fortunately, Xu Xuan reacted quickly and intercepted the ball.
The ball was immediately countered by Qin Jing, and it was sent toward Yao Ran’s direction once again. It pletely messed up the school belle’s rhythm as she tried to dodge. Her movements weren’t as graceful as they had been anymore as she failed to hit the ball once again, only to be saved by her teammate.
She felt all eyes were on her, and she suppressed the urge to shudder.
It was one hit after the other, and Yao Ran was growing even more nervous. Every single one of her hits had to be saved by Xu Xuan, or else it would’ve fallen in their court again.
However, her powers were limited—being the one behind Yao Ran. And it had taken around a few minutes when she failed to hit the ball.
Damn!
Their score went up from 2 to 3!
Qin Jing had taken advantage of the victory to hit the ball once again, directly winning the first round! It was a landslide victory.
This time, Xu Xuan didn’t throw the ball in Yao Tang’s direction, but rather, at Qin Jing. There was something inside her saying that there was a reason the former wasn’t playing unless absolutely required of her.
Outside the court, however, the crowd was sighing in disappointment.
Everyone had assumed that with Xu Xuan on Yao Ran’s side, she’d easily win the round. Not only that, but Qin Jinghad also paired up with a person who didn’t play very well.
Yet, the results had shown a landslide victory!
They didn’t expect Xu Xuan and Yao Ranwould be defeated so easily. It was a sight they could only dream of seeing.
Given that almost all the balls had been countered by Qin Jing, everyone also assumed that Yao Tang was nothing but a bystander.
“I can’t believe Yao Tang’s this lucky!”
“I thought Xu Xuan was a great tennis player, but it turns out, she isn’t even as good as Qin Jing. And she isn’t a professional!”
“Let’s continue watching. Maybe Xu Xuan would be able to reveal her true strength later on. Yao Ranshould stop being a hindrance.”
After one round, they returned to their seats to rest.
While they were resting, Yao Ran called Xu Xuanto the side. She scowled, narrowing her eyes. “Don’t you know how to play tennis?” she demanded. “We can’t lose by a landslide!”
She sighed in frustration, running her fingers down her hair. “Ugh, this is so annoying.”
Xu Xuan lowered her head. “I’m sorry.”
