At that moment, a female voice sounded from not far away. “Isn’t that our campus belle? Now that you’ve seen how powerful your sister is, do you regret not befriending her now? That’s too bad. It’s too late anyway.”
“Don’t you think it’s so ironic? You’ve always looked down on her, yet you seem to be following her everywhere.”
Yao Ran glanced over to the person who had arrived.
She saw Shen Yi step toward her. The student had always looked down on her, believing that she was far too shameless in trying to please the people all around her.
She blinked innocently. “What are you trying to say? I think you’ve misunderstood the situation, Shen Yi.”

Her gaze pooled with disgust.
In the past, Yao Ran could say that she had a pretty good relationship with Shen Yi. However, after what had happened with Ruan Qing, their relationship started feeling a bit different.
She didn’t know why, but she could tell something was up.
If she didn’t want to maintain her image, Yao Ran would’ve gone out of her way to hit her!
As soon as Shen Yi caught sight of Yao Ran, she bit her tongue and clenched her fists. Whenever she’d see her, she thought as if she had eaten a fly.
Shen Yi pushed her aside and glanced down from the railing.
Yao Ran’s eyes flashed with a dangerous light as she stumbled to the side, falling down with her head slamming against the glass.
Shen Yi, at first, didn’t seem to notice as she sneered at the sight.
She had already used this tactic one too many times. Yao Ran wouldn’t allow herself to get hurt. At most, she’d simply allow the boys to sympathize with her.
It was just a small trick!
Yao Ran just backstabbed anyone she could.
What she didn’t expect was for her to fall directly onto the glass. The sound echoed across the corridor and everyone turned their head.
CRASH!
In an instant, the glass shattered and blood trickled down her forehead.
Red liquid dripped onto the pavement.
She was bleeding!
Yao Ran’s face was pale. Her teeth were chattering. “I’m sorry,” she stuttered. “I didn’t mean to get in your way—”
“She’s bleeding! Call the doctor!”
“Oh my, there’s so much blood.”
“She’s bleeding!”
Everyone in the class was screaming their heads off. The corridor was a mess with them running from one place to the other.
Another male student got into Shen Yi’s face. “It’s your fault,” he snarled. “Why did you push her? Why would you do this?”
“Are you jealous of her?”
Seeing the blood all over the pavement, Shen Yi didn’t know what to say.
What happened?
Yan Wei had just taken a few steps toward the cafeteria when she heard all the motion ing from the floor above her. She looked up to see Yao Ranbeing carried down the staircase.
Even the teachers had stepped out of their rooms to maintain peace and order. Chatter erupted across the hallways as they looked from left to right, frazzled by all the motion.
“Calm down, calm down.”
Ring!
Just like that, the school bell echoed across the hallway, and everyone started returning to their classrooms.
Yan Wei hid a smile.
Not bad, Yao Ran.
Now that everyone had returned to class, who else would be able to hear her at the cafeteria?
Yao Tang needed a little more luck if she wanted to embarrass her.
She skipped happily toward the cafeteria. “I’m an illegitimate daughter,” she called out.
However, she didn’t expect her voice to echo across the entire campus.
“I’m an illegitimate daughter!”
The sentence was being broadcasted all over the campus, and it circulated around the classrooms. Even with all the ruckus, her voice was still heard.
Yan Wei paled.

“I’m an illegitimate daughter…”
Her voice reverberated all around her.
Yan Wei felt her entire body being rooted into the ground. Her hands trembled at her sides, and her head pounded in pain.
