“Mom, it’s really not her,” Yao Ran hurriedly said. “It really isn’t her. I don’t…I don’t want you to argue with her again. She has already been through so much.”
“You’ve already protected her so much. Do you think she’ll be grateful to you? That bitch couldn’t even pare to you—my beautiful daughter.”
Qin Man scowled. “She has already caused you so much pain, yet you’re still speaking up for her. Do you know that if you don’t recover, you’ll never be able to dance again?”
“Even if you recover well, it will still take you a couple of years to walk properly. Do you think you’ll still be able to join your petitions by then?”

Dancing was very important for Qin Man, but if her feet wouldn’t totally recover, Yao Ran wouldn’t be able to be the best.
Plus, no family would want her to be their daughter-in-law.
After hearing these words, Yao Ran paled. She glanced at her foot as a tear slid down her cheek. Her foot was currently wrapped in gauze, but she could still feel the pain pulsating through her veins.
“Am I going to be a cripple?” she stuttered. “Mom, I don’t want to be a cripple. I don’t…”
She looked up. “Mom, you have to think of another way!”
Hearing the nervousness behind her words, Qin Man softened. “There is another way,” she responded. “It’s…it depends on whether or not you want to go through with it.”
“The doctor said that if this surgery had gone well, you can undergo another minor surgery. It’s a long process, but if that goes well, you’ll be able to walk again in a year!”
As soon as she heard her, Yao Ran shivered.
Even if she didn’t undergo the surgery, she’d still be able to recover. Yao Ran pursed her lips as she drummed her fingers on her bedside. It would just take a little longer.
She could choose not to perform the surgery.
However, Qin Man had wanted her to recover faster so that she could participate in her dancing petition in time.
To be honest, she actually hated dancing.
She had attended dancing classes ever since she was young, but she never really had a talent for dancing. Not only were her movements uncoordinated, but she also didn’t get along with the other children.

“Ranran, it’s always been our dream to participate in that dancing petition, right?” Qin Man held her hand. “You want to recover as fast as possible right?”
“Realizing our dreams is worth even a little bit of pain.”
Of course. It’s always been her dream.
“Ranran, don’t you want to be the best?”
Yao Ran closed her eyes. “Of course. I…I trust you. I want to be better as soon as possible.”
Qin Man smiled in satisfaction.
“Good, I know that my daughter trusts me. Yao Tang couldn’t even pare to you.”
Qin Man slowly caressed her hair.
Suddenly, a thought crossed her mind. “Mom, is the surgery risky? The one I have to undergo?”
A trace of emotion flashed across her eyes and she slowly shook her head. “It’ll be fine. I’ll be sure to find the best doctor in the country for you so that you’ll recover quickly,” she forted. “You’ll be fine.”
“Thank you, Mom.” Her heart turned cold. “I know that you wouldn’t do anything to harm me.”
