Yao Tang was now asking the boy to memorize the entire score in such a short period of time. She had even asked him to play it for them.
There was less than an hour before the assessment.
It would be fine if they were the last to play, but if they were put first, then they’d have no time at all. It was an impossible request!
Was there really any hope?
At that moment, the staff had already started to clear the area.

Everyone started backing away, but the others couldn’t help but stay and stared at the young man. Could he really do it?
Under everyone’s curious gaze, Yan Yu took the music score from her hand and began to read it.
“It’s no problem.”
There was something about his calm and serious aura that matched Yao Tang. It was as if the silly boy they had known was long gone.
Time passed quickly and he glanced over the music score. His eyes were trained on the paper and his fingers gripped either side. He was in plete focus.
Even if everyone had started to bee restless, Yan Yu continued to sit, scanning over the score. It was as if he had nothing to do with those around him.
Twenty minutes later, he closed his eyes and murmured a few words.
When he opened his eyes again, half an hour had already passed.
“I’ve already memorized it,” he said slowly, breathing a sigh of relief. “The performance wouldn’t be much of a problem.”
What?!
If Yan Yu had memorized the piece for more than an hour, everyone would’ve believed that he really did memorize the score. They would’ve hoped that they’d be able to succeed.
But only half an hour had passed?
How could he remember it all?
Could it be that he has given up?
“You don’t have to be so nervous. There’s still half an hour left before you enter! There’s still some time to memorize,” one of them called out. “You don’t have to feel pressured.”
“Besides, it’s a good thing that you already came to help us. There’s no need to be so nervous.”
Lu Ming waved his hand. “If he says he’s done, he’s done.”
The people from the Glory Orchestra stared in disbelief.
It wasn’t that they didn’t trust Yan Yu. Of course, they did. They just…they just didn’t expect that a man could memorize a score this quickly.
“Don’t worry,” Yao Tang said softly. “Just leave it to him. We’ll even practice it later.”
Hearing her forting words, everyone felt a glimmer of confidence in their hearts.
They may not believe him, but they do believe in Yao Tang.
After all, ever since they had met her, they realized that there was nothing she couldn’t do. She was literally the backbone of the entire orchestra. With her talents, anything she’d say would e to life.
“Then don’t you worry! We’ll work hard!”
“We’ll do our best!”
“We won’t let anyone down!”
The fighting spirit cheered everyone up.
This was a very important assessment. As such, it was only natural that everyone wanted to do their best.
The corner of Yao Ran’s mouth rose at the other side of the room as she spoke to the people around her. However, something made her stop.
There, on the corner were Yao Tang and a group of people who had just walked in.
The moment she saw these people ing in, her eyebrows furrowed over.
Why would they participate in the assessment when they were short of people?
They obviously didn’t have enough.
However, when she saw Yan Yu standing beside her, she finally understood.
Seeing that the members of the Glory Orchestrahad finally shown up to the auditorium to perform, the members of the Shanna Orchestrafrowned.
Initially, they had already given up on taking the assessment.
So, why were they here now?
“Aren’t they missing some people?” Wu Hai frowned.
Initially, Yao Ran was flustered by their appearance. However, when she saw that the substitute was Yan Yu, the worry in her heart dissipated.
“They had a last-minute substitute,” she said gently. “Do you see that man beside my cousin? He’s a student from her class as well. She must’ve called him.”
Wu Hai heaved a sigh of relief.
“Then, does he know how to play an instrument?”
“I haven’t really spoken to him before, so I wouldn’t know.” She tried to think about it. “Perhaps he’s simply shy about his talents.”
