Now reading: Chapter 129: Cooking for Him from The Billionaire CEO Wants to Marry Me Every Day, a Romance novel by Mucha.

It’s the first ti he felt that cooking, a task so full of the sll of smoke and fire, seed like art when Sumr Monroe made it.

Perhaps it was because Sumr had long, beautiful, and fair slender hands.

Sumr didn’t notice that Damian Knight had been staring at her all along. She focused on mixing the filling and then started rolling out the dumpling wrappers.

Earlier, when she was preparing the filling, she used a tool to fernt the kneaded dough. Now she was rolling out the dumpling wrappers with skilled movents.

Damian Knight couldn’t help but speak, "Do you often make these?"

"Kind of. When I was in the coun... when I was in the countryside, sotis when I got tired of the ho-cooked als, I would make so simple dishes myself. Dumplings are the easiest; you just need to boil them after wrapping them."

"Hmm." Damian Knight pretended not to notice Sumr’s slip of the tongue and began wrapping dumplings himself.

Damian Knight wasn’t good at cooking, but he managed to wrap dumplings quite decently. They looked nice and round—except for the tis when he broke the dumpling wrappers.

Neither of them spoke again, quietly wrapping the dumplings, but Damian Knight didn’t feel bored doing such trivial tasks at all.

He even slightly enjoyed this peaceful ti.

Soon, the dumplings were wrapped, cooked, and ready to be served.

"Now let taste your handiwork." Damian Knight nonchalantly picked up a dumpling and put it into his mouth.

Although Sumr looked proficient in mixing the filling and rolling out the wrappers, as a northerner, he had tasted all kinds of dumplings.

Moreover, the Knight Corporation’s food company had recently developed a few dumpling varieties. Although they were frozen dumplings, they were expensive, and similarly, the taste was exquisite.

He had just tried those dumplings and didn’t think any dumplings in the country could surpass those from his company’s food line.

Damian Knight didn’t have high expectations; he mainly wanted an excuse to tease her.

However, once he took a bite of the dumpling, the rich juices mixed with the fresh aroma of vegetables and the savory minced at spread through his mouth. The taste was so unlike anything he’d experienced that he subconsciously raised his brows in surprise and looked over at Sumr.

Her ingredients and seasonings were very simple, taken from the hotel kitchen, but such a delicious taste was sothing he was experiencing for the first ti.

A gleam flashed in Damian Knight’s dark eyes.

Sumr hadn’t tried the dumplings yet and, seeing Damian’s stunned expression, paused and asked, "Does it not taste good?"

"No." Damian Knight chewed carefully and swallowed the dumpling before saying, "The taste is alright; homade is a little different."

Sumr: "..."

Heaven help, his speed was as slow as a tortoise, and by the ti she finished, he had only wrapped six.

The one he was eating wasn’t necessarily his own work.

But Damian Knight never had anything nice to say, so Sumr felt that an "alright" was already a high complint coming from him.

She didn’t ask further and quietly ate her dumplings.

But after eating one herself, she looked down and found that more than half of the thirty dumplings on the plate were already gone.

Over there, Damian was chewing on one dumpling, with a pile in his bowl, forming a little hill, while his chopsticks continued to grab more from the plate.

Sumr silently picked up another dumpling, swallowed it, and a faint smile spread quietly at the corners of her mouth.

...

The sun was shining brightly. Sumr Monroe, dressed in the clothes Damian Knight had soone buy for her, walked out of the hotel entrance.

As she was about to hail a taxi, the most expensive business car from the Stanton Family pulled up in front of her.

The driver quickly got out of the car, respectfully opened the door for her, and said, "Miss, Master Stanton asked to wait here for you. Please get in the car."
