Henry Stanton lovingly ruffled Sumr Monroe’s hair and said, "Let’s go, I’ll take you to the company for filming. It’s a good opportunity for you to tour our company. You’ve been back for so long and haven’t visited yet, right?"
Sumr nodded, looking full of anticipation, obediently following Henry Stanton out the door into the car.
The car quickly arrived at the building of the Stanton Group.
Sumr looked at the towering office building, and so vague mories were gradually becoming clear.
[Sadie, Mom has to go to a eting. Stay in the office and do your howork. Don’t run around, okay?]
It was from her childhood, fragnts of mories when Luna Monroe didn’t trust her to be alone at ho and took her to work at the Stanton Group.
She also rembered that her mother’s office had a secret compartnt with many things inside.
She wondered if this compartnt had been discovered after "Monroe Group" beca "Stanton Group." If not, maybe she could find so clues about her biological father inside.
Sumr was staring at the building in a daze when Henry Stanton noticed she wasn’t following and returned to her side, saying, "Sadie, what’s wrong?"
Sumr snapped back to reality, donned a smile, and said, "It’s my first ti here; I just wanted to take a closer look... Actually, after I was kidnapped by traffickers, I had a high fever and have no mory of what happened before."
"I heard about that. Childhood mories are not important; what’s important is the present. I will make it up to you doubly."
Henry Stanton’s gaze was infinitely loving, but Sumr still detected sothing beyond that love—greed.
Sumr was acutely aware that Henry Stanton wasn’t kind to his daughter but rather to his cash cow.
Her heart was indifferent and cold, yet the smile on her face was very gentle and obedient: "Yes, I know Daddy is the best to ."
Henry Stanton ruffled her head again and said, "Your Midnight Coffee House couldn’t find a shooting location because these office buildings have many people working, making it hard to rent out an entire building. But after I heard about it, for your sake, I let most of the staff take a break and leased the building to your team, so you can focus on filming."
"Thank you, Daddy."
Sumr tried hard to suppress the intense disgust she felt when Henry Stanton touched her, pretending to be happy and followed him inside.
The decor within the Stanton Group felt both familiar and unfamiliar to Sumr. Her mories were fragnted, and she had no recollection beyond Luna Monroe’s forr office.
As soon as she reached the lobby, she saw a young assistant waiting for her at the front desk.
"Miss Sadie, you’re here! I was just about to call you."
Sumr nodded: "My dad wanted to co to the company, so I ca early. Where is everyone else?"
The young assistant greeted Henry Stanton first before answering: "The others are on the top floor of the office building. Today you will play two roles: a female CEO and a female office worker. We will first shoot the scenes of the female CEO, so the first scene is on the top floor."
Sumr’s eyes turned: "Does that an we’re filming in the CEO’s office?"
"Yes." The young assistant smiled, "Mr. Stanton was very accommodating and has already instructed people to tidy up the office for us. They should be setting up the filming equipnt now."
The two chatted as they walked into the elevator.
Henry Stanton pressed the elevator button for them but did not enter the elevator.
