Sotis, Sumr Monroe couldn’t help but smile with a knowing aunt-like grin as she read.
In the diary, she saw her mother as a young girl.
But Sumr also noticed that her mother always held doubts, particularly about his identity.
Almost three months together, and she still didn’t know who he really was, only that he had a noble background, so much so, that she might not even be worthy of him.
So during this ti together, her mother didn’t forget to better herself. Not only did she expand the company overseas, but she also elevated the Monroe Group to the stature of The Four Great Families of Crestfall.
This was also the ti when the Monroe Group developed the fastest.
Sumr Monroe read through her mother’s love diary during those three months, and then suddenly, the diary skipped two pages.
Sumr quickly flipped past the blank pages, and when the entries resud, five months had passed—
April 15, overcast.
"I finally know his identity, and I finally understand the distance between us. It’s a distance I’ll never be able to reach... Just like his mother said, I’m not worthy of him. I don’t want to hold him back, but... I’m pregnant. The child is innocent, what should I do?"
Sumr Monroe felt her heart clench at this point.
As expected, this "child" was her.
Sumr hurriedly continued to turn the pages.
April 18.
