If it were before, Evan Hughes might have really left the matter for Coralie Hughes to handle.
But now, his affection and trust in Coralie are no longer what they used to be.
Evan Hughes said coldly, "This matter is very serious, I was almost killed, it can’t be handled casually. I will handle this myself! Butler! Bring the woman in the black evening gown!"
Coralie’s face turned pale, anxious and not knowing what to do.
She glared hatefully at Sumr Monroe, her eyes almost capable of killing soone.
But a look is just a look, Sumr shrugged indifferently and asked, "Miss Hughes, I’m not the one wearing the black evening gown, why are you staring at ?"
Evan Hughes instinctively looked at Coralie.
Coralie had to quickly force a smile and said, "Cousin, you misunderstood, I’m wearing pure black costic lenses, maybe I seem a bit scary when I look at people. If you don’t like it, I won’t look at you."
Sumr shook her head, "Then I misunderstood."
Coralie was gnashing her teeth with hatred inside, but on her face, she could only smile apologetically.
Who knows how irritated she was at that mont!
Just then, Clarissa Stanton, who was tied up, was brought in by the bodyguards.
Clarissa’s mouth was stuffed with a towel, and upon seeing Coralie, her expression contorted fiercely, struggling with muffled cries.
At this mont, Coralie truly began to feel fear.
The evening gown was sothing she prepared for Sumr, thinking that once Sumr wore it, she could settle the score on her and keep her quiet, but never expected... the one in the gown turned out to be Clarissa Stanton.

Cold sweat dripped down Coralie’s forehead, and for a mont she didn’t dare to et Clarissa’s eyes, nor did she dare to look at Sumr, she just looked down at her toes, praying internally that nothing would be exposed.
Sumr saw Clarissa, her face showing shock, incredulously asked, "Sister, why is it you?! How... how could you appear here in this dress? Don’t you know Uncle’s biggest taboo is the color black?"
Clarissa felt both indignant and aggrieved, but with her mouth gagged, she couldn’t say a word, only managing to let out two streams of tears with muffled sobs.
Upon seeing Clarissa’s clothes, Evan Hughes’s eyes went dizzy.
The butler, seeing this, hurriedly found a white bath towel to wrap around Clarissa.

Clarissa shook her head violently, scared.
