Felix Jennings heard this and a light flashed in his eyes, but he quickly hid it and said, "I’ll delay on that side for a bit. I’ve been coming over every day to check. When Mrs. Monroe is in a better state, I’ll sign then."
Henry Stanton nodded, "That’s all we can do. Thank you for your hard work. I’ll give you a bonus at the end of the year. During this ti, help keep an eye on things. Let know when everything is alright; I can’t co over every day."
"Thank you, Chairman. It’s my duty. How about this, I’ll have a private talk with Mrs. Monroe to see if she can calm down a bit later."
Henry Stanton didn’t think much and waved his hand, "You stay here then, I have other things to do and I’ll leave first. By the way, don’t ntion this to outsiders, it’s not good for the company’s image."
Felix Jennings nodded repeatedly, "Understood."
Henry Stanton made a sound of agreent, called Sumr Monroe, and left.
Sumr Monroe gave Felix Jennings a deep look without saying anything and followed Henry Stanton out of the ward room.
Once Felix Jennings confird they had left, he turned around and closed the door, then quickly walked over to Stella Monroe, held her hand, and said, "Stella... Stella, how are you?"
Stella Monroe was filled with resentnt, but after Sumr left, she beca much calr. Looking at Felix Jennings, with eyes reddened, she said, "I’m not crazy, I’m not crazy at all, it’s all Sumr’s fault! You have to believe !"
Felix Jennings nodded continuously, "Others don’t believe you, Henry Stanton doesn’t believe you, but don’t I believe you? How could I not know whether you’re crazy or not?"
Stella Monroe’s heart finally softened, tears of anger and grievance fell swiftly.
Felix Jennings wasn’t in a rush. After Stella Monroe cried and vented, he finally asked, "How did things suddenly turn out like this? I only heard that Clarissa had an incident... and after that, I lost contact with you. I finally found out you were here, but I was afraid there was an ambush, so I simply found a frank excuse to use Henry Stanton’s route to find you... Quickly tell , what’s really going on?"
Only by knowing what’s going on can he co up with a strategy.
Stella Monroe bit her lip hard. She had already accepted the fact that her daughter was really gone, even though this fact kept her awake at night and her ntal state worsening.
But facts are facts; she wasn’t truly insane, so she had to accept it sooner or later.
Stella Monroe released her lips, which still bore bite marks, and ground her back teeth forcefully, saying, "Clarissa must have been killed by Sumr! At the ti, I was too angry and heartbroken, so I did so impulsive things... Later, when I returned to the room, I don’t know how, but I suddenly had hallucinations, mistaking Sumr for Clarissa. I... I even foolishly told her that Luna Monroe was killed by ."
When Stella Monroe reached this point, she grabbed Felix Jennings’ arm in terror, "Sumr ca back for revenge! From the start, she’s been coming back to avenge her mother! Felix, what should I do?!"
Stella Monroe’s face was filled with unprecedented panic and confusion.
She never expected that she had just climbed out of the abyss from the temple, only to fall again into the deeper abyss of a ntal hospital.
Felix Jennings, however, caught onto a few keywords and asked, "You said you had hallucinations?"
Stella Monroe nodded, "I don’t know if it’s Sumr’s doing or just the massive shock I suffered that caused the hallucinations..."
