She was sitting on a small stool, burning spirit money for Clarissa Stanton absentmindedly. Leah Lowell ca running over quickly and whispered, "Miss, sothing’s wrong! That little girl has fainted!"
Sumr Monroe imdiately stood up and headed straight towards the servant’s quarters with large strides.
Leah had already sent away the other servants from this area beforehand, so when Sumr entered the room, no one saw her.
Sumr pushed the door open and saw the girl covered with a thick quilt, her complexion pale, eyes tightly closed, looking extrely distressed.
"Cece, Cece!"
Sumr lightly pushed the girl’s shoulder. The girl’s eyebrows furrowed as she mumbled sothing incoherently.
Sumr leaned down to listen and caught a few words: "Revenge... Bella..."
Leah, who followed in closely, said anxiously, "Miss, what should we do now?"
Sumr turned to ask Leah, "I’ve already treated her wounds; it shouldn’t be like this. Did you give her the dicine on ti?"
Leah hurriedly nodded, "Yes, I made sure she took it every al before I got busy."
Sumr also fell into confusion.
She reached out and touched Cece’s forehead — it was burning hot. If she didn’t misjudge, the fever must have been over 39 degrees.
"She’s got a fever." Sumr paused for a mont and said to Leah, "Go to my room and get the dical box I keep under the coffee table. If anyone asks, say your distant cousin ca to visit you and ended up with a fever."
"Okay!" Leah responded and hurried out.
Sumr pulled back the quilt, wanting to check Cece’s wounds, but as she lowered her head, she saw Cece’s two shoes.
The shoes were covered in wet mud, with two leaves stuck on them.
Did she go out?
Sumr frowned and pulled back the quilt, only to find the gauze that had originally been neatly wrapped around the wounds was soaked through.
Just then, Cece murmured a few sounds and hazily opened her eyes.
"Miss Monroe..." Cece’s voice was incredibly weak.
Sumr didn’t care if the other person was a patient, she asked sternly, "Did you go out? Where did you go?"
Cece bit her lip and said, "The place where the car fell..."
"Foolish!" Sumr really wanted to crack open Cece’s head to see what was inside.
She tried to suppress her anger and said, "Do you know you’ll die if you continue like this?!"
Cece turned her face away, feeling guilty but unwilling to admit it.
Sumr clearly saw a look of despair in her eyes, the will to live was no longer visible in Cece.
Sumr had to soften her tone and said, "I’ve already sent people to look for Bella. As soon as there’s news, you’ll be notified quickly. But you, with such serious injuries, managed to run out and recklessly get wet. If anything happened to you, do you think Bella would be happy when he returns? If he rashly follows you in a mont of anxiety, what then?"
Cece’s previously emotionless eyes finally lifted a bit.
"I’m sorry... Miss Monroe."
She bit her lip, her eyes full of guilt.
She didn’t intend to cause Sumr trouble, but she just couldn’t put Bella out of her mind...
Bella was the youngest of the four, not even eighteen, their youngest brother. At that ti, she really couldn’t just lie here and recover peacefully.
"I’m sorry..." Cece repeated.
Sumr sighed and said, "As long as you realize your mistake."
She continued, her tone becoming firm again, "Let tell you, even if I only bring back Bella’s body, you cannot give up on yourself. Only by living is there hope. They’re all waiting for you to avenge them, you can’t just die like this. Otherwise, in the afterlife, you’ll be too ashad to face them!"
