The crowd was visibly surprised at these words.
Such a stunning girl was not a celebrity but their schoolmate?!
They had sothing to brag about - their school had a goddess-level beauty with both talent and charm.
A senior student imdiately pointed Sumr Monroe in a direction, "Do you see that white tower with the big clock?"
Sumr saw it at once; the building was truly beautiful.
She couldn’t help but think that when her mom was a visiting professor here, she must have also found the scenery beautiful, right?
"Ah!" a new student suddenly exclaid, "We’re almost going to miss the registration ti!"
"Hurry up, hurry up!"
The group of people sward and Sumr snapped out of her silent thoughts, stepping towards the clock tower.
There was a directional sign downstairs, indicating the principal’s office was the first room on the top floor.
Sumr quickly walked upstairs and knocked on the half-open door of the principal’s office.
Hearing a voice inside saying, "Co in," Sumr pushed the door open.
Once inside, she saw the principal frantically clicking a mouse while seated in his chair.
Sumr ntally typed a question mark, hesitated a little, then spoke, "Principal?"
"Wait, wait! Just one more round!"
A string of ellipses floated over Sumr’s head, "..."
A minute later, the principal dejectedly put down the mouse as a proud voice emanated from the computer, "Hahaha, Payne, I won. You can attend the opening ceremony by yourself tomorrow!"
"Don’t do this..." Principal Payne pleaded, "The speech is so long, I’ll have a sore throat by the end!"
"I don’t care. We agreed on best two out of three, and I won!"
"You..." Principal Payne gritted his teeth, "Do you not want to be vice-principal anymore?"
"Well, I’m already at retirent age. If you want to dismiss , just do it!" the other person said, and then there was a "thud" as the call ended.
Sumr was dumbfounded.
A principal like this... could he really be reliable?
In the next mont, Principal Payne finally rembered soone had entered after hearing the knock. He looked up, his gaze landing on Sumr, and his eyes suddenly widened.
Then Principal Payne shook his head and said, "I’m sorry, miss, our school isn’t filming a promotional video."
Sumr gave an awkward smile; she had misunderstood again. She should have changed her clothes in the restroom before coming up.
Sumr patiently explained, "Principal, I’m here for registration."
The principal looked puzzled, "Are you joking with ?"
Sumr directly said, "Damian Knight said I should just co straight to the school to find you."
The principal imdiately stood up, "Are you the friend that Young Master Knight introduced, Miss Monroe?"
Sumr nodded, "Yes, I’m Sumr Monroe."
"Quickly, quickly, have a seat. I’ll pour you so tea."
"No need." Sumr glanced at the ti, "It’s getting late. How about we register first?"
Principal Payne slapped his forehead, "But of course, I nearly forgot the main task. I’ll help you register first."
To Sumr’s surprise, although the principal had appeared quite... unreliable earlier, he handled the registration process ticulously.
With the principal’s assistance, the registration was completed quickly.
"I’ll take you to your class. Your horoom teacher even prepared a beginning-of-term test, which is on high school knowledge. Your seating will be arranged according to the results. But don’t worry, it’s alright if you don’t do well now; Professor Osborne’s class is brand new, and everything starts from scratch, you’ll be on equal footing with everyone else. Just work hard and you’ll be fine."
In the principal’s mind, he assud Sumr was not particularly outstanding.
