Mio Osborne gave Sumr Monroe a cool glance and said bluntly, "Oh, so you’re the student Damian Knight forced into my class."
Sumr instinctively frowned.
So blunt and unapologetic...
But she quickly eased up. After all, what he said wasn’t wrong; wasn’t she indeed placed into his class by Damian Knight? Even though Damian himself hadn’t contacted her and his whereabouts were unknown.
Sumr quickly gathered her thoughts, looked Mio Osborne in the eye, and said, "Yes, Professor Osborne, please guide in the future."
Mio turned his gaze away indifferently—he was reluctant to acknowledge students who pulled strings to get in, but since he had promised the principal, he had no choice but to let it be for now.
Anyway, in a month, she’d be leaving his class.
However, neither Sumr Monroe nor Mio Osborne noticed that with their conversation, a storm brewed inside Willow Grant.
Shock, disbelief, jealousy, resentnt, humiliation—various emotions almost overwheld her.
She even needed to brace against the wall to keep standing.
So... the person Damian Knight introduced to Mio Osborne was Sumr Monroe.
And it wasn’t her!
This blow almost shattered Willow Grant’s last line of psychological defense.
But then, she heard Mio Osborne say, "No need for guidance. I don’t know if the principal ntioned that in a month’s ti, during the monthly test, if you don’t score in the top twenty in the class, you’ll have to leave my class."
Willow Grant’s eyes shot up with a hint of delight!

She had heard that Mio Osborne’s preparatory class was filled with top students from all over the country.
Even she couldn’t guarantee her rank within this class.
Sumr Monroe? A waitress? She’d have to be dreaming to make it into the top twenty!
Willow was convinced Sumr Monroe would soon be kicked out of this class!
By then, Damian Knight would realize Sumr was utterly useless and completely unworthy!
Sumr noticed Willow’s expression this ti. She gave Willow a glance, half-smiling, then said to Mio Osborne, "Understood, Professor, I will do my best."
Mio Osborne doubted that a good-looking girl who got in through connections could score in the top twenty, but her slightly arrogant deanor was sothing he disliked.
If she had true talent, it’d be different, but such an empty facade greatly displeased him.
Mio Osborne didn’t respond, instead, he said directly to Willow Grant, "Sign the papers and return to class. I’ll submit this form to the admissions office for you. There’s an entrance exam in a while, covering high school content. Results will determine the seating arrangent for the first month, so do your best."
"Yes, Professor!" Willow’s voice was crisp and loud, as if showing off her victory to Sumr in another way.

It felt like she’d punched into a cloud of cotton—a futile and frustrating sensation.
Willow gritted her teeth and decided not to look at Sumr. After saying goodbye to the principal, she walked back to her class.
She was determined to ace the entrance exam and then watch Sumr take a seat at the very back!
