When the principal was introducing the preparatory class to her, he ntioned that all the equipnt in the class was funded by Mio Osborne himself. Even the classroom door was custom-made—soundproof, and with a spring, so that after being opened, it would slowly close automatically.
It’s said this effectively improves the students’ concentration in the classroom.
But at this mont, the door was strangely half-open.
Is the door broken?
No, a newly installed door wouldn’t be broken so soon.
Sothing must be wrong with this door!
Behind Sumr Monroe, Willow Grant was still rambling on, her dissatisfaction with Sumr clearly reaching its peak.
Sumr glanced sideways, half-smiling, and said to Willow Grant, "Sorry, I got a bit distracted earlier. Please, you go first."
Willow Grant snorted through her nose, assuming Sumr had finally recognized her place, and lifted her chin as she strode to the door.
She reached out to push it open, and as she did, a light sound ca from the door.
Instinctively, Willow Grant looked up.
There was a basin full of water balanced on the door!
Willow Grant’s eyes widened suddenly, and before she could react, the cold water was pouring right over her face.
"Ah—" Willow Grant instinctively scread, but the water quickly flowed down her hair into her mouth.
She imdiately spat out a mouthful of water, wiped her face, and found her hand covered in black mascara and red lipstick when she pulled it away.
She had been ticulously applying makeup for an hour since lunch to make a good impression on the new classmates, only for it all to be ruined in a mont.
She knew she must look utterly embarrassing now.
Yet, in the next mont, sothing even more embarrassing happened: the basin itself fell down and struck Willow Grant on the head.
"Hahahahaha—" Laughter erupted from inside the classroom.
In that instant, all Willow Grant wanted was for the ground to swallow her up.
Humiliated by the laughter, she dropped the basin from her head, covered her face, and ran outside.
But just as she reached the door, she almost collided with soone coming in.
Willow Grant instinctively looked up and t Mio Osborne’s eyes.
"Teacher..." Willow Grant’s eyes welled up, and she could no longer control her emotions. Tears began to fall.
Mio Osborne removed his jacket and draped it over Willow Grant, then said, "Go back to your dorm and change your clothes. I’ll postpone your start-of-term test."
Willow Grant nodded tearfully and started towards the staircase.
As she passed Sumr Monroe, she suddenly rembered how Sumr had stopped abruptly earlier—it seed she knew all along and did it deliberately!
Willow Grant shot a resentful glare at Sumr and hurriedly left.
Her makeup was ruined, her clothes were soaked. Now wasn’t the ti to settle the score with Sumr, but she wouldn’t forget this!
Sumr Monroe showed no reaction to Willow Grant’s glare. Just as she was about to enter the classroom, Mio Osborne called her na, "Monroe!"
Sumr stopped and looked at Mio Osborne, "Yes, teacher?"
Mio Osborne gave her a cold look and said, "Co with ," then walked toward the end of the corridor.
Sumr had no choice but to follow.
When she got there, Mio Osborne coldly said, "I saw everything."
"Saw what?" Sumr didn’t know what he was talking about.
Mio Osborne spoke coldly, "Initially, you were the one walking in front, but you stopped halfway and let Willow Grant go in first. I don’t need to explain your intentions, do I?"
Sumr listened quietly, and towards the end, she couldn’t help but laugh, "Ha...!"
Mio Osborne, with a grim expression, asked, "What’s so funny?"
