At the mont their eyes t, Rachel Ross only saw the girl’s eyes narrow slightly, her cold gaze shooting out a chilling light that made her want to flee in panic.
Rachel instinctively wanted to leave the classroom again, but her feet seed unresponsive, just standing there dumbly, unmoving.
Cold sweat seeped down Rachel’s back.
A thought crossed her mind: Could Sumr Monroe have found out?
But Rachel quickly dismissed the idea, as the forum’s confidentiality was top-notch; even the people connecting on it didn’t know her identity, let alone Sumr, a girl from the countryside.
She probably didn’t even know what a forum was.
Sumr’s eyes were just too strange, making her overthink.
Thinking of this, Rachel felt sowhat relieved and forced herself to look away.
As soon as she averted her eyes, her legs finally obeyed, and she hurried back to her seat, not daring to look back again.
"Rachel."
A voice suddenly sounded from the side, startling Rachel so much she nearly scread.
"Rachel, what’s wrong?" Willow Grant asked in confusion.
Why did her voice make her react like she’d seen a ghost?
Seeing it was Willow, Rachel’s tense nerves finally relaxed.
It seems people shouldn’t do bad things; it makes them feel guilty.
She swore she would only do this one bad deed, and after that, she would absolutely do good and accumulate virtue.
"Rachel?" Willow asked, even more puzzled.
Rachel coughed dryly and said, "Nothing, I just had insomnia last night, didn’t sleep well, and feel a bit out of it."
Willow didn’t think much of it and sat down next to her, apologetically saying, "Yesterday, when I left the dining hall suddenly, you weren’t mad, right? I really wasn’t targeting you; I just didn’t want to see Sumr."
"Neither do I!" Rachel gritted her teeth but rembered they were in the classroom. She softened her tone, "I wasn’t mad at you. I understand. In that situation, nobody could stand it."
Willow looked relieved and said, "I didn’t expect Sumr to know so many people. That Ronan Kingston from The Four Great Families of Crestfall went to her right after the second day of class. Her skills at attracting n are quite sothing!"
"Ha!" Rachel sneered, saying, "Looks like she learned nothing in the countryside except how to hook n. Country girls are all like that, dreaming of becoming a phoenix. With her looks, of course, she would use her resources wisely. But rest assured, she won’t have this chance for long!"
Once she figured out the cause, if those people wouldn’t take the job, she’d just place another order on the forum.
Soon enough, soone could disfigure Sumr.
Willow heard that Rachel had a plan and quickly asked, "Why do you say that? Do you have a thod?"
Rachel shook her head, "You don’t need to know the thod. Anyway, she won’t be able to attract n for much longer."
Willow was secretly delighted but didn’t continue to question.
As long as Rachel was dealing with Sumr, she wouldn’t get involved, to avoid the situation where Rachel fails and Sumr complains to Damian Knight, implicating her.
However, Willow genuinely hoped Rachel succeeds.
The class bell rang, and this session was college English taught by a different teacher.
The new teacher was Teacher Sutton. Although his hair was gray, his lectures were very lively and humorous.
Even Sumr, who intended to keep sleeping, was captivated and couldn’t help laughing along with the other students.
She liked this teacher; he was much more charming than Mio Osborne!
But as the class went on, Teacher Sutton gradually beca serious and picked up a textbook, saying, "Enough joking around, let’s get a bit serious. I’m going to select two students to read this comprehension passage."
