Sumr Monroe’s identity is special, and she doesn’t care if Sumr can play the Hunting Goddess or not.
But Damian Knight is her son; she should be able to have a say over her son, right?
Willow Grant is the daughter-in-law she has approved, and her daughter-in-law should, of course, play the best piano. The Hunting Goddess must include Willow Grant!
Upon hearing this, Willow Grant felt a deep sense of satisfaction.
Indeed, Susan Stone had recognized her as the daughter-in-law, and no matter how well Damian Knight treated Sumr Monroe, it couldn’t change the fact that he must marry her, Willow Grant!
However, Willow Grant’s glee didn’t last long.
She heard Damian Knight coldly say, "No."
Two short words, but his tone was incredibly firm.
The piano he had carefully prepared for Sumr Monroe—who else had the right to interfere?
Susan Stone didn’t expect Damian Knight to publicly reject her, and her face turned a bit dark.
Exasperated, she pointed at Damian Knight, exclaiming, "Say that again? I am your mother! I have the right to decide over your things!"
"Sorry," Damian Knight raised an eyebrow casually, "You have no authority over this piano. This piano belongs to her."
Damian Knight pointed at Sumr Monroe.
Sumr Monroe, who was examining the dust cover up close, was taken aback and asked, "?"
Damian Knight nodded, and a bodyguard stepped forward, handing a purchase contract to her.
Sumr Monroe only saw that the contract clearly stated she was the owner of the Hunting Goddess.
Willow Grant, standing nearby, saw it too.
She bit her lip in anger, feeling both hatred and envy.
That was the Hunting Goddess!
Damian Knight just casually gave it to Sumr Monroe?
She had thought that Damian Knight only borrowed it; turns out he bought it for Sumr Monroe!
Jealousy sprouted and grew quickly in her heart, blossoming into a demonic fruit.
After triple-checking that the contract wasn’t mistaken, Sumr Monroe looked at Damian Knight with a complicated expression.
She didn’t understand why Damian would gift her such a valuable piano.
But she had mistaken her own feelings too many tis before, fearing she would once again fall into that embarrassing situation.
Damian Knight gave her a look that said "No need to thank ," then turned to Susan Stone, saying, "Mom, you know my temper. I’ve already made concessions by giving you lody. The Hunting Goddess belongs to Sumr, and you have no right or authority to ask her to lend it to soone else."
Damian Knight’s voice was cold and resolute, with an air of finality.
For the first ti, Susan Stone realized that her son was no longer under her control.
She even felt she was slowly losing Damian Knight, and it was a very unsettling feeling.
Susan Stone bit her lip, montarily unsure how to respond.
Willow Grant, standing beside Susan looking at her, felt a bit scared, worried that Susan might fall out completely with Damian Knight.
If that happened, she wouldn’t gain any advantage.
Willow Grant pondered over this and suddenly rembered that Sumr Monroe was a country bumpkin—how good could her piano skills be? She probably couldn’t even manage to play the simplest "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star," right?
With Sumr’s skill level, even the world’s most expensive piano wouldn’t make her sound any better.
People would only think Sumr is wasting a precious treasure.
Willow Grant increasingly believed that Damian Knight giving Sumr Monroe the Hunting Goddess was deaning to the piano.
Willow Grant curled her lips in a cold smile.
Play it then, use the Hunting Goddess. Even if she used lody, a piano one level lower than the Hunting Goddess, she would still outshine Sumr Monroe!
