The grand concert hall, backstage.
After Willow Grant ran off the stage crying, she bumped into Sumr Monroe, who was preparing to go on stage.
Although Sumr Monroe hadn’t seen the "live broadcast" backstage, she could hear what Willow Grant said on the microphone.
Clearly, Locke Berg looked down on Willow Grant’s performance level.
But it had nothing to do with her.
However, after their eyes unintentionally t, Willow Grant gritted her teeth and angrily said, "Sumr Monroe, don’t get cocky! I’m not good enough, and neither are you! Mr. Berg doesn’t even look up to , so you’d better not go embarrass yourself!"
Sumr Monroe looked at Willow Grant expressionlessly and said, "If you’re kindly reminding , then thank you, but it’s unnecessary."
Willow Grant laughed mockingly and asked, "Are you really going up there to perform just to surpass ?"
"For you?" Sumr Monroe glanced at Willow Grant indifferently and replied calmly, "I’m not as idle as you imagine!"
She was willing to perform, firstly as a favor to Holly Holloway, secondly to attract the attention of the person she was looking for, and thirdly because of the Hunting Goddess gifted by Damian Knight.
As for whether she could surpass Willow Grant, she hadn’t even considered it.
But Willow Grant insisted, "Oh, co on! Otherwise, why did you take Holly Holloway’s performance spot, to fight for this program? Let tell you, Sumr Monroe, Damian Knight might not see through you, but I’ve figured you out completely. Sooner or later, I’ll expose your true colors!"
Sumr Monroe was fed up, she rubbed her ears and coldly said, "I’m attending two funerals soon, and I don’t mind attending a third. If you keep bothering , I wouldn’t mind attending yours."
"You—"
Willow Grant was so angry that her cheeks turned red.
Just then, Willow Grant’s "Star River" was moved off the stage, and next, the dust cloth was lifted off the "Hunting Goddess," which was carefully carried to the stage accompanied by several black-suited bodyguards.
Willow Grant instinctively looked over.
The "Hunting Goddess" was made entirely of crystal, viewed from the side it resembled a sparkling Divine Bow, and the three piano legs were all different, using exquisite carving techniques to recreate the beautiful love story of the "Hunting Goddess" from Ancient Greece Mythology.
In an instant, Willow Grant’s eyes were completely captivated by the Hunting Goddess, even forgetting about her "argunt" with Sumr Monroe.
Sumr Monroe, now enjoying peace, seized the last mont to go over to Holly Holloway, and softly instructed, "Rember, everyone is just seeing your painting, so you don’t need to be nervous at all, just perform like usual. Also, even if you make mistakes, it’s alright, I’m right behind you."
Holly Holloway felt a warmth in her heart, and her nervousness was inexplicably soothed.
She nodded with determination and said, "Mm! I won’t let you down!"
"Good girl." Sumr Monroe reached out and gently tousled Holly Holloway’s hair, affection flickering across her eyes.
Damian Knight, who was just about to head backstage to discuss Berg with Sumr Monroe, stopped in his tracks, frown of displeasure crossing his handso face.
When would Sumr Monroe look at him the way she looked at Holly Holloway?
Was he really inferior to a girl she had only known for a few days?
In the brief pause, Sumr Monroe had already stepped onto the stage.
Damian Knight thought about it and decided not to catch up.
Regarding Berg, he decided not to ntion it to Sumr Monroe to avoid making her nervous.
However, he was inexplicably getting nervous now, afraid that Sumr Monroe’s piano skills might not be as good as he guessed, worried Berg might ridicule her the sa way he did Willow Grant.
But soon, Damian Knight reassured himself.
Sumr Monroe had never disappointed him, and this ti would be no different.
