Sumr Monroe listened intently, her expression growing more serious; she had a vague feeling that this matter seed deliberately designed.
But who would want to use this thod against Damian Knight?
Sumr Monroe suddenly thought of soone.
She turned her gaze toward Isaac Ross and asked, "Have you noticed the guy who set the bomb? Could it be his doing?"
"We’ve considered that possibility. Aiden is undercover over there right now. Although he hasn’t fully infiltrated the group yet, he’s found out that guy is currently engaged in a very important deal with a mysterious family. During this ti, they wouldn’t have the leisure to pull off such petty tricks."
Sumr Monroe nodded, but felt even more puzzled.
If it’s not that guy, who else would want to target Damian Knight?
Could it simply be coincidence, or is there really sothing wrong with the food at the Midnight Coffee House?
Sumr Monroe clenched her palm tighter and asked, "You ntioned needing my help; what do you need to do?"
"The patient," Isaac Ross said seriously. "Previous custors have recovered quickly, with no fatalities, but this ti this custor is still in critical condition. I need you to take a look at this custor’s situation, can you?"
Sumr Monroe nodded, "I’ll do my best."
Isaac Ross sighed with relief and then chuckled self-deprecatingly.
Not long ago, he doubted what dical skill a young woman like Sumr Monroe could have. Yet now, in this urgent situation, his first response isn’t to seek out his hospital’s most renowned doctor, but Sumr Monroe.
He really feels a bit ridiculous.
Although last ti, Sumr Monroe treated ntal illness, this ti it’s a physical disease; he doesn’t know if Sumr Monroe can handle it.
But then Isaac Ross dismissed his doubts.
He must trust that the expert can do anything, with dical skills ranked first in the world.
Isaac Ross automatically hit the accelerator, increasing the speed of the car.
"Before going to the hospital, we’ll first make a stop at the Knight Group building. Take the back entrance and talk to Damian, have him co along too."
After all, this incident concerns the Knight Group; if they suddenly intervene, the custor may not agree to let them treat him.
"Alright." Sumr Monroe nodded, then urged, "Drive faster."
If the custor’s condition is indeed that serious, then timing is crucial.
Isaac Ross imdiately sped up the car, breaking two red lights along the way until they finally reached the front of the Knight Group building.
Before arriving, Sumr Monroe had already guessed the scene might be chaotic, but once she got there, she realized the situation was far worse than anticipated.
The open space in front of the Knight Group building was packed with people, almost to the point of being shoulder-to-shoulder.
The troublemakers even raised banners with slogans more eye-catching than the next.
"Accuse the Knight Group of poisoning, strongly protest the listing of the Midnight Coffee House!"
"Permanently close the Midnight Coffee House to protect the lives of consurs!"
"Real-na accusation of the Knight Group’s subsidiary, the Midnight Coffee House, for profiteering and manslaughter!"
Once Isaac Ross parked the car, Sumr Monroe noticed a group of people walking across the street, wearing white towels labeled "Protest" and banging drums, instantly attracting more onlookers.
The Knight Group was surrounded tightly by people, and around Isaac Ross’s car, it quickly beca crowded.
Isaac Ross furrowed his brows, pulled out his phone to call Damian Knight, but the line was occupied and couldn’t connect at all.
"I’ll go up to find him directly," Isaac Ross said, adding a warning, "It’s even more crowded now, I’m afraid these people might recognize you as the spokesperson, get emotional, and hurt you. You stay in the car while I go find Damian."
