Willow Grant spoke passionately, her eyes turning red.
Only Damian Knight’s cold voice ca from the phone: "It’s not about having a bias against you. The guest is fine now and will be able to attend the press conference later."
Willow Grant stared in shock, asking, "But didn’t the news say that he was still in critical condition, fighting for his life?"
"That’s true," Damian Knight’s voice carried a hint of pride, "but Sumr Monroe healed him. So, I don’t need your help."
"Wh-what...?"
Sumr Monroe healed that patient? Sumr Monroe knows dicine?
How is that possible?!
Before she could ask, Damian Knight said again, "If you really want to help , you should leave my house as soon as possible. I already reminded you last ti, it’s impossible between us, so please don’t waste our ti."
As soon as he finished speaking, the call ended.
Damian Knight directly hung up the phone, clearly unwilling to say another word to her.
Willow Grant felt as if needles were piercing her heart, and she couldn’t stop the tears from falling.
"Willow, you—what’s wrong with you?" Susan Stone panicked, then angrily asked, "Did that brat reject the doctor you found? Don’t be upset; I’ll call him and scold him! You kindly introduced a doctor for him, and he refused! He’s out of his mind!"
She had never raised a daughter and didn’t know how to comfort a girl, so she could only scold Damian Knight.
"No, Mrs. Stone, don’t." Willow Grant suddenly rembered Susan Stone was beside her.
She was afraid that if Susan Stone found out that Sumr Monroe not only played the piano well but was also an astonishing dical talent,
she would again show that look from the debutante ball.
She didn’t want to be abandoned by Susan Stone!
Willow Grant hurriedly grabbed Mrs. Stone’s phone-wielding hand and said, "Mrs. Stone, I’m not sad, I’m crying tears of joy. Young Master Knight didn’t reject ; he just told that the guest in critical condition has been cured and can go to the press conference later to clear things up for the Midnight Coffee House."
Susan Stone looked at Willow Grant’s expression half-believingly and asked suspiciously, "Really? But I saw you crying so sadly just now..."
"I was sad just because..." Willow Grant paused, forced a smile, and said, "just because I regret not being able to help Young Master Knight. I feel like I might not be able to bring anything to him, and that’s why I’m sad."
"You silly child!" Susan Stone sighed and said, "It’s hard for you to have such deep feelings for that brat. Don’t worry, I’m saying it here, you are the only one who can enter the Knight Family’s door. You’re the only daughter-in-law I’ve acknowledged; as for other people? Don’t even think about it!"
Willow Grant showed a grateful yet shy smile.
"Mrs. Stone... you’re too kind, I don’t even know what to say."
"You don’t have to say anything, just go back and study well, leave everything else to . Once that boy finishes with the Midnight Coffee House, I’ll talk to him about you."
Willow Grant’s heart was pounding.
She was very happy.
But also very worried.
Without having control over the Knight Group, could Susan Stone really order Damian Knight to marry a woman he doesn’t love?
Willow Grant bit her lower lip, hiding all her true emotions, and hugged Mrs. Stone with a face full of gratitude.
"Mrs. Stone, rest assured, I will do all I can in the future to help Young Master Knight."
She would also do everything she could to make Damian Knight truly fall in love with her!
As ti ticked by, the scheduled ti for the press conference quickly approached.
