Mrs. Grant knows her daughter is a decisive and smart woman.
Without asking further questions, she agreed and imdiately sent soone to investigate Sumr Monroe’s information.
The girl’s background was simple and clean, with almost nothing noteworthy, except for that photograph.
Mrs. Grant stared at the photo on the file, lost in thought for a long ti.
When she snapped out of it, she was shocked to realize that as a woman, she had been staring at the photo for over ten minutes.
To think, it was just a plain ID photo!
Mrs. Grant suddenly guessed why her daughter wanted to check the girl’s information; this was a threat, a very big threat.
Back when her husband had an affair, the other woman wasn’t bad-looking either, but there was no comparison to her, which was one of the reasons Mrs. Grant managed to win her husband back.
She cald down and called Willow Grant.
Willow quickly answered, puzzled, "Mom, did you already check it? So fast?"
"Yes, I’ve sent you the electronic version of the information. Check your email," Mrs. Grant said, clearing her throat. "Willow, the girl’s resu is quite ordinary, but you need to be wary of that face. If you ever get the chance, you must ruin it and absolutely make sure she never appears in front of Damian Knight!"
With such beauty, which man wouldn’t be moved?
She’s practically a modern-day siren!
Yet, after speaking, Mrs. Grant received no response from Willow’s side.
Her heart sank, and she probed further, "Willow, has Damian Knight already t this girl? Surely, they haven’t made contact already, have they?"
Willow remained silent.
Being her daughter, Mrs. Grant imdiately confird her suspicion.
She took a deep breath but quickly steadied herself and said, "Willow, don’t worry. I’ve read her resu; besides her looks, she has nothing substantial. The only notable event was that your freshman party praised her piano skills a few days ago. I can assure you, a girl like that won’t get into the Knight Family. Don’t let your impulsiveness ruin things—maintain your composure and avoid any mistakes, especially in front of Mrs. Stone."
"I understand, Mom," Willow finally spoke.
Mrs. Grant sighed in relief, then continued, "For now, you don’t need to do anything. Once your first monthly test is over, I’ll personally co over and deal with her, making sure she never dares to approach Damian Knight again!"
Willow was sowhat surprised; her mother always taught her to be like a flower in a greenhouse, not doing anything contrary to her status as a lady. But this ti, her mother offered to help her deal with Sumr.
Does this an her mother also senses that Sumr is a threat?
However, with her mother’s help, she could indeed save a lot of effort.
Willow bit her lip and said, "I understand, Mom. I won’t do anything for the ti being; I’ll just wait for you to co."
"Okay, focus on your studies, and I’ll get busy too."
After the call ended, Willow imdiately opened her email.
She opened the resu her mother had sent and quickly but thoroughly reviewed Sumr’s information.
Previously, she had checked Sumr’s information herself, but today she heard Sumr might know dicine, which made her doubt what she had found.
Yet, the version her mother sent was not much different from what she had found, except it was more detailed.
Could it be that Sumr is really just a semi-rural, semi-socialite girl who returned from the countryside?
Still, how could a country girl have such high piano skills and also dical knowledge?
