Willow Grant originally couldn’t be bothered to even look at these poor people who rode electric scooters to school. She had her own pride, so she habitually ignored them.
But just then, the girl to her right spotted soone on the scooter and grabbed Willow, exclaiming, "Willow, look! Isn’t that Sumr Monroe sitting on the back of that scooter?"
"What?" Willow was a beat slow before she looked over.
Once she saw who was sitting on the scooter, disdainful amusent quickly appeared in Willow’s eyes.
"It really is Sumr Monroe." Her tone was casual, but her smile grew wider.
Sumr Monroe after leaving the Stanton Family had really beco a penniless bumpkin, even riding an electric scooter to school—it’s laughable enough to make Willow’s teeth fall out!
Willow tried hard to conceal her inner feelings, but the other two girls burst into laughter without any reservations.
The girl who first spotted Sumr even raised her hand high and waved, shouting, "Sumr Monroe!"
Sumr had just climbed off the scooter when she heard soone calling her.
She instinctively looked over and saw two girls walking towards her, pulling Willow along.
"Miss Monroe, are they your friends?" Bella asked curiously.
Bella was young and couldn’t read people, but Sumr could imdiately see the schadenfreude in the eyes of the three girls.
It was clear these three were mocking her for riding an electric scooter to school.
"No." She withdrew her gaze, her voice flat: "Let’s go, I promised to buy you milk tea."
"Oh, oh." Bella nodded excitedly and imdiately parked the scooter by the side.
Cece wouldn’t let him drink milk tea, saying he was still growing and shouldn’t have junk food, so he was thrilled to be getting milk tea with Sumr.
Seeing Sumr ignoring them as she walked away, the two girls beside Willow were instantly displeased and quickly stepped forward to block Sumr’s path.
"Hey! Sumr Monroe!" The tall girl asked harshly, "Didn’t you hear us say hello to you? The Stanton Family took back your position as the young miss, did they take back your ears too?"
The girl next to her burst into laughter upon hearing this.
Sumr still didn’t intend to pay any attention to them and was about to take a detour, when Bella muttered, "Definitely not your friends," and then crouched down to make a sweeping kick, causing the two girls to fall backwards.
"Ah—"
"Ah!"
Two shrill screams rang out simultaneously.
Willow was startled and quickly went to help the two girls up, coldly glaring at Sumr, "Sumr, you’re so out of line. They were just saying hello to you, and you hit them? Our school strictly prohibits fighting; aren’t you well aware of this?"
Before Sumr could speak, Bella piped up.
"Hey, lady, are you blind? I’m the one who moved, why are you yelling at Miss Monroe? Are you itching for my fists?"
Bella shook his fists.
Though he was young, his fists weren’t small.
Willow had never encountered soone like this before and was imdiately frightened, taking two steps back.
But Willow quickly regained her composure.
This was the school gate, there were surveillance caras everywhere; if anyone dared hit her too, Sumr wouldn’t be able to get away with it!
Willow raised her chin and said, "I’m stopping you from bullying people, and you’re going to hit ? Go ahead, try it! I’ll call the police right now!"
Hearing the word "police," Bella suddenly realized he might have really gotten Sumr into trouble.
He instinctively wanted to make ands, when Sumr spoke calmly, "Go ahead, call the police. Just tell them Damian Knight’s subordinate hit you, and you want to accuse Damian Knight of ordering soone to attack and injure people."
