It wasn’t until they left the sight of Henry Stanton’s group that Bella dared to ask, "Cece, don’t you feel anything? I could feel the pain just watching Henry Stanton whip you!"
Cece responded indifferently, "When we were in Myanmar, we encountered people and situations far worse than this. But you were still young then, and the three of us protected you, so you naturally didn’t see it."
"Alright." Bella looked regretful, but then rembered Donnie and Nate, who had died, and a look of sorrow flashed in her eyes.
In the next mont, Cece tapped her finger on his head and said, "Don’t zone out. Miss Monroe sent information on her people; we’re going to et with them."
Bella perked up, nodding vigorously and saying, "Got it!"
Crestfall.
Damian Knight had just finished a eting and opened his phone to see the video Cece had sent over, intending to forward it to Sumr Monroe.
But just before sending, he suddenly stopped.
Such a disgusting scene shouldn’t be shown to Sumr.
He canceled the ssage and instead texted a description of the video’s content.
Sumr was on her way back to Redleaf Manor, and after reading Damian Knight’s text, the image imdiately ford in her mind.
Yet in her eyes, there wasn’t a single fluctuation, and she even curved her lips slightly.
Before this, she hadn’t figured out how to deal with the malicious Stella Monroe and Felix Jennings. But now it seed she didn’t need to think about it anymore; Henry Stanton would naturally "take care" of them.
This was really a case of a dog biting another dog.
"Is there a video?" Sumr texted back to ask.
There was a two-second pause on the other side before a video was sent over.
Sumr watched it intently, as if appreciating a piece of art, her expression focused and devout.
Her deanor caught the attention of the taxi driver, who couldn’t help but glance over and ask while waiting at a traffic light, "Hey there, what are you watching so seriously?"
Sumr put away her phone and shook her head, saying, "Nothing much. Driver, please turn right up ahead. I’m going to Crestfall Cetery."
"Alright!"
As the light turned green, the taxi sped towards Crestfall Cetery.
When Sumr arrived at the cetery, she first passed by Clarissa Stanton’s grave, and then, as luck would have it, she also passed by Coralie Hughes’ grave.
The gravestone of Coralie Hughes displayed a picture from her school days, exuding her inherent arrogance.
But no matter how proud one is in life, in death they all beco part of the earth.
These two, companions in life, now neighbors in the cetery, could at least keep each other company.
Sumr continued walking until she finally stopped at Luna Monroe’s grave.
"Mom."
Sumr bent her knees, kneeling in front of the grave.
Her eyes were slightly red as she began, "I’ve co to see you."
In the photo, Luna Monroe was as young and beautiful as ever, forever frozen at the age of 30.
At a youthful age, yet never to see another bloom.
Sumr wiped her tears bit by bit, then pulled up the video on her phone and held it in front of Luna’s grave.
Striving to manage a smile, Sumr said, "Mom, can you see this? I’ve avenged you. Stella Monroe, who caused your death, is now locked in a pigsty by Henry Stanton. At night, she’ll be gnawed by rats, crawled over by cockroaches... As for Henry Stanton, you’ll soon see what happens to him."
As Sumr spoke, her voice grew quieter, and she finally collapsed onto the gravestone, sobbing.
At so point, a light rain began to fall, and the droplets on her face made it hard to distinguish between rain and tears.
But Sumr remained oblivious, still kneeling on the ground.
Just then, the rain over her suddenly stopped.
Sumr turned her head to find a pair of eyes as bright as stars looking back at her.
