The light in the barn was dim, and nothing could be seen from outside, but Sumr Monroe could faintly hear a low wailing from inside.
That sound was like soone’s mouth was blocked by sothing, yet still desperately trying to scream.
After a mont of shock, a faint glimr flashed in Sumr’s eyes.
She had already guessed what the two surprises inside were.
Damian Knight saw Sumr’s expression and knew she had already figured out who was inside. He said with a faint smile, "Do you like these two surprises?"
"Hmm." Sumr nodded, "Let’s go, let’s go inside to verify."
She was the first to step into the barn.
As soon as she entered, the moldy sll of grains wafted into her nose.
Damian sohow conjured up a mask and offered one to Sumr.
Sumr waved her hand to refuse, heading to the deepest part of the barn.
The barn had only one window, and the light was dim, but she could faintly see two people tied to the innermost pillars.
Without turning on the light, Sumr walked towards the two.
Stella Monroe had heard the commotion in the front yard earlier and vaguely heard people asking Damian Knight for money. Suddenly, she felt a surge of hope and quietly called out.
Unfortunately, her mouth was stuffed with rags, and she couldn’t shout aloud.
Just when Stella was about to despair, both she and Felix Jennings heard the sound of the barn door being kicked open.
Soone had co to save them!
They were saved!
Stella tried even harder to make sobbing noises, while Felix wasn’t far behind, desperately stomping his feet, hoping the villagers would hear them and co to their rescue.
Finally, after their relentless efforts, they heard the sound of footsteps.
Their savior had arrived!
"Mmm... mmm... (Help )" Stella struggled desperately.
From Stella’s perspective, she couldn’t see the person who ca, but Felix saw the person clearly.
It was Sumr!
Felix’s struggle ca to an abrupt halt.
He was aware of Sumr’s thods; falling into her hands was no different from being in Henry Stanton’s.
Yet, Felix thought, if he stayed here much longer, his current physical state wouldn’t hold out, not to ntion Henry Stanton’s perversion that demanded ten lashes a day.
Given the circumstances, perhaps Sumr was sowhat better; at least it wasn’t certainly a dead end.
While Felix’s mind was racing, Sumr had already reached Stella.
Stella’s eyes were full of hope, but when she lifted her gaze, she saw the girl standing opposite her.
The girl’s face was indifferent, and her bright eyes had a layer of unclear fog, carrying an air of casual mockery.
It was Sumr!
In an instant, Stella’s eyes widened, and the light in her eyes quickly darkened, like a fla being doused by water.
How could it be Sumr? Why her!
Sumr observed Stella’s expressions with interest, raised her eyebrows, and used two fingers to remove the rag stuffed in Stella’s mouth.
"Sumr!" Stella finally managed to speak, shouting angrily, "Why are you here?!"
Besides Henry Stanton, the person she hated most was Sumr. She didn’t want Sumr to see her in such a humiliating state.
Sumr smiled slightly and said, "I thought you were getting bored in the pigsty and wanted soone to find you a new place. It seems you haven’t had enough of it yet. Let’s send you back to the pigsty!"
With a wave of Sumr’s hand, two bodyguards stepped forward imdiately.
