Sumr Monroe swept a cold gaze up and down Stella Monroe and said, "Now, it’s ti to settle the score between the two of us, murderer Stella Monroe. Do you have anything else to say?"
As she spoke, she shook the recorder in her hand.
Everything Stella had previously said was recorded without missing a word.
Stella’s face was filled with terror as her eyes widened, babbling frantically.
But Sumr was no longer interested in listening to Stella’s nonsense; she waved her hand and said, "Take her back to Crestfall!"
Unlike Felix Jennings, Stella Monroe was thrown into the trunk, bound tightly.
She reeked of a pigsty, and after the bodyguard tossed her into the trunk, he pinched his nose in disgust.
"Damn, it stinks!"
"Close it quickly, it’s suffocatingly bad!"
Stella watched as the trunk lid slowly shut, the light before her dimming until there was nothing but darkness.
She closed her eyes in despair, tears streaming down her face, looking utterly pitiable.
But pitiable people often have detestable traits; all of this was a consequence of Stella Monroe’s jealousy that brought such a fate upon herself.
And back in Crestfall, what awaited Stella was a fate of being reviled by all.
"Let’s go too." Damian Knight stretched lazily, resting his hand on Sumr’s shoulder as he said, "It’s all resolved now; we can leave."
"Hold on a mont." Sumr looked at Damian and said, "Give one more hour; there’s still sothing I need to do."
"What is it?"
Sumr didn’t answer, simply making her way towards Dottie’s house.
When Sumr arrived at Dottie’s house, Dottie’s Dad was drinking in silence.
He couldn’t understand how the Stanton Family could be so bad, despite his trust in them. Even when Sumr’s people ca to get his signature, he scolded them, firmly defending the Stanton Family.
"Stop drinking, too much is bad for your health." Dottie’s Mom took away the bowl Dottie’s Dad was using, but in the next mont, she covered her mouth and started coughing violently, dropping the bowl with a "bang" to the floor.
The bowl shattered into pieces, and the next instant, a mouthful of black blood splattered onto the fragnts.
"Honey!" Dottie’s Dad was startled, his drunkenness clearing instantly. He rushed to Dottie’s Mom, supporting her and asking worriedly, "Why are you coughing up blood?"
Dottie, seeing this, cried out, "Dad, Mom’s been coughing up blood for days, but she wouldn’t let tell you."
"How could you keep sothing like this from ? Let’s go! We’re heading to the hospital right now!"
Dottie’s Dad was about to help Dottie’s Mom outside.
However, Dottie’s Mom pushed him away, shaking her head and saying, "No need to go, it’s a waste of money."
"How can getting treatnt be a waste of money?"
Dottie’s Mom shook her head and said, "I know my own body. To be honest, I don’t have much ti left."
"I don’t believe it!" Dottie’s Dad said, his eyes red, "I’m taking you to the hospital now! Even if I have to beg on my knees, I’ll make them cure you!"
"I won’t go!" Dottie’s Mom gripped the table edge tightly and said, "If you’re going to waste money like that, I might as well die right now!"
"How can you say such nonsense? What about Dottie without you?"
Dottie burst into even louder tears.
At this mont, a graceful figure appeared at the wobbly door of Dottie’s house.
It was Dottie’s Mom who first saw the person and exclaid in surprise, "Miss Monroe?"
Dottie stopped crying, then ran to Sumr Monroe, hugging her leg tightly.
"Sister, please save my mom!"
