"What does ’illegitimate child’ an?" Dottie asked, perplexed.
He’s still young, and he had never heard the term while living in the village, so he asked Sumr curiously.
Sumr covered Dottie’s ears, leaned down, and whispered instructions to him, "Be good, Dottie. Listen to your sister, don’t listen, don’t look."
Dottie nodded obediently, though confused, and tightly closed his eyes.
Sadie said not to listen or look, so he covered his ears and closed his eyes.
Seeing Dottie like this, Claire Woodward sneered and asked disdainfully, "What? You feel ashad of your own background, so you don’t want the kid to hear it? Speaking of which, is he really your illegitimate child?"
Sumr smiled slightly and said, "Claire Woodward, I see you’ve healed your scars and forgotten the pain, forgotten that I still have dirt on you, haven’t you? Speaking so arrogantly, aren’t you afraid of being drowned in spittle?"
"You—" Claire Woodward wasn’t able to provoke Sumr; instead, she got provoked by her.
"What? Finally rembered that you once drugged ? Want to take up long-term residence in The Vanguard Prison?"
Sumr’s deanor completely changed from earlier, her intimidating aura making people fearful.
Even with his eyes closed, Dottie felt the surrounding temperature drop.
But he obediently didn’t open his eyes.
Claire Woodward was fuming with anger, yet guilty and afraid that Sumr might expose the matter.
Soon the Woodward Family will choose a new Family Head; she can’t have such dirty laundry aired.

Sumr’s eyes narrowed slightly, a cold light flashing across them.
"I’ll give you that sa advice. I’m indeed not Henry Stanton’s biological child, but since I exist in this world, I won’t allow people like you to insult because of my origins. You may indeed be your parents’ biological child, but so what? Are the things you’ve done much cleaner than my background?"

The reason she hasn’t exposed the matter is to save face for herself, finding Claire and Mio’s affair disgusting.
But now, since everyone knows she’s an illegitimate child, she’s not afraid of another stain.
She raised her chin and said, "A flea never fears itching. I want to see if, when the matter is exposed, there are more people laughing at or cursing you."
Claire Woodward trembled in fear.
She bit her lip hard and was about to turn and leave.
"Wait!" Sumr called out to her.

Claire Woodward’s face turned pale red with green, and ultimately, under pressure, she had no choice but to say, "I’m sorry."

"Okay." Dottie obediently didn’t ask further questions, holding Sumr’s hand as they walked toward the inpatient departnt.
