"Everyone, enter the classroom and start distributing the exam papers."
Mio Osborne’s voice rang out, and the students imdiately sat down at their desks.
Mio Osborne had rearranged the seats in the class; each desk was isolated, with enough space between each other to ensure that they couldn’t see the answers of the person next to them.
Holly Holloway was the last to enter the classroom.
Seeing that Sumr Monroe hadn’t arrived yet, she fled to the bathroom under Mio Osborne’s pressure and made a phone call to Sumr.
The call was quickly answered, and Damian Knight’s voice ca through—
"Hello?"
Holly Holloway was montarily stunned to hear a man’s voice but quickly regained composure and asked, "Is Sumr there?"
"She’s still sleeping. Is there sothing important?"
"Today is the day of our class’s first monthly test. Isn’t Sumr coming for the exam? She told earlier that she would."
"Got it, I’ll let her know."
"Thank you." Holly hung up and swiftly ran back to the classroom.
Being two minutes late, Mio Osborne scolded her but, since it was an exam, didn’t say more and instructed Holly to return to her seat to take the test.
Willow Grant squinted slightly at Holly’s back.
No need to guess, she must have called Sumr.
But even making the call wouldn’t help; it would take at least half an hour for Sumr to get to school. Mio just ntioned that being ten minutes late would disqualify soone from taking the test for that subject.
In any case, Sumr definitely wouldn’t make it.
Willow Grant smirked and lowered her eyes to continue with her test.
The first session was Chinese, with a moderate level of difficulty, sothing Willow Grant found to be a piece of cake.
...
anwhile.
In a room in Ross Hospital.
Damian Knight walked in from outside, holding a mobile phone.
The room was dimly lit, and he had taken the call just in ti to prevent the ringtone from disturbing Sumr, who was still sleeping.
After a mont’s hesitation, Damian Knight decided to wake Sumr.
"Sadie, wake up."
Sumr, a light sleeper, had been sleeping deeply due to the Monroes’ sleep-enhancing aromatherapy and the exhaustion from the previous day.
Damian Knight called her three tis before she finally woke up.
"What’s going on?" she inquired, her voice slightly hoarse.
"Holly called for you," Damian Knight ntioned, emphasizing Holly’s na deliberately. He paused briefly before continuing, "She asked if you wanted to go for the exam?"
"The exam!" Sumr sat up suddenly. "Damn! I forgot. What ti is it now?"
"Nine thirty-five."
"Nine thirty-five... It’ll take half an hour to get there." Sumr calculated the ti, then simply shook her head and lay back down on the bed, tiredly saying, "Forget it, I’ll just sleep a bit more. The first exam is for Chinese anyway."
She wasn’t going to score much in Chinese, so she decided to skip it and head to the afternoon sessions instead.
Damian Knight smiled indulgently and said, "Since you’re awake, have so breakfast before going back to sleep. I just ordered porridge and buns for you; they should be arriving soon."
"Alright." Sumr stretched lazily and got up to freshen up.
After a night’s rest, her energy had almost fully recovered.
Once she finished breakfast, she’d go back to sleep a bit more, then check on Julian Kingston, have so lunch, and finally head to school—the timing should work out just right.
As Sumr leisurely had breakfast with Damian Knight, the students in the prep class were intently focusing on their exams.
Ti flew by, and the Chinese exam ca to an end.
As Willow Grant walked out of the classroom, her expression was sowhat displeased.
At first, she thought the exam was moderately challenging when she saw the multiple-choice questions upfront, but as she progressed, she realized the true difficulty—
On this Chinese paper, she’d be lucky to score around 80 out of 150, which was enough to prove how tough this exam was.
