After being glared at by Sumr Monroe, Damian Knight didn’t dare to bring up setting up a boyfriend for Holly Holloway again.
The dinner passed quietly.
Holly Holloway quickly finished her al without really savoring the food, and got up to leave.
Although she wasn’t good at communicating with people, she did have basic perception.
Damian Knight’s words clearly indicated that he felt she was interrupting them.
But Holly Holloway didn’t dislike Damian Knight. Since he even got jealous over a girl, he must really love his goddess very much.
She felt reassured.
After Sumr Monroe sent Holly Holloway off into a taxi, she sat in Damian Knight’s car with discontent and said, "Wasn’t your hostility towards Holly Holloway a bit too obvious? She’s already a bit autistic; you might scare her."
"I’m sorry." Damian Knight shrugged. "I’ll be more careful next ti."
Sumr Monroe pursed her lips, "Don’t even ntion next ti. I think Holly Holloway won’t dare have a al with you for the rest of her life."
Damian Knight apologized again, "Sorry, should I apologize to her next ti?"
Sumr Monroe didn’t want to be angry at Damian Knight over this matter. She sighed helplessly and said, "Forget it, apologizing would scare her even more. By the way, let’s stop by Ross Hospital before heading ho."
"Okay." Damian Knight pressed the gas pedal, but his mind drifted to the phone call he received while waiting for Sumr Monroe at the school gate.
It was from soone with The Vanguard.
They inford him that the signal had beco stationary, located in Trevia.
It turned out that Stella Monroe was indeed taken by the very people who caused her demise, yet he was torn about whether he should tell Sumr Monroe about this.
He knew that once he told Sumr Monroe, she would definitely find a way to get to Trevia.
He needed to investigate that place and find out what was so unique about the people there.
Lost in thought, Damian Knight didn’t realize the car had arrived at Ross Hospital.
Julian Kingston’s anesthesia had long worn off, but he was still groggy, hardly awake.
When Sumr Monroe arrived, Julian Kingston had just fallen back asleep.
She checked Julian Kingston’s pulse; it was weak, but there were no major issues—at least he’d been pulled back from the brink.
Old Master Kingston, who had been staying at the hospital, worriedly asked Sumr Monroe, "Are you sure he’s okay in this condition? He seems to be sleeping more than a koala."
Sumr Monroe chuckled silently, "You don’t have to worry too much, Grandpa. After such a major surgery, his current state is normal. He can’t be bouncing around imdiately, can he?"
Old Master Kingston understood this logic but still sought so reassurance from Sumr Monroe.
"So, when can he stay awake longer?"
Sumr Monroe thought for a mont and said, "I’ll go back and make so herbal dicine for him today. Once we remove his oxygen tube, we’ll start combining Chinese and Western dicine. I believe that, in no more than half a month, he’ll be transferred to a regular ward to joke with you."
Half a month was already quite fast, but Old Master Kingston still felt it was slow.
"Does it really need that long...?"
Sumr Monroe nodded, "That’s already a very fast pace. I’ll get the dicine ready as soon as possible. He’s in good health, probably can have the tube removed by tomorrow, and start breathing on his own."
Old Master Kingston nodded repeatedly, his anxiety visibly apparent.
When Sumr Monroe turned her head, she noticed that Damian Knight was gone.
She dialed Damian Knight’s number, but it was busy.
Feeling strange, she suddenly saw Damian Knight through the window at the end of the corridor, making a call in the garden outside.
His expression looked peculiar.
Has sothing happened...?
"Miss Monroe." Old Master Kingston’s voice suddenly interrupted her thoughts.
