This was the first ti Wan Donglin had co to the store. Xu Xiaoya was nervous, unsure of his intentions, and just busied herself enthusiastically offering him tea and water. Wan Donglin said indifferently, "You carry on with your work. Don’t mind ; I’m just taking a look around."
Despite his words, how could Xu Xiaoya dare to truly ignore him? Yet, she didn’t dare follow him closely, afraid of causing offense. It was thanks to this boutique that she had managed to completely turn her life around. She’d bought a house and was soon planning to buy a car, truly living a respectable life. It could be said that her entire destiny had changed because of it.

Xu Xiaoya imdiately led him to the office and took out all the account books. Wan Donglin glanced at them. The accounts were exceptionally clear and professionally prepared. Both electronic and handwritten versions were readily available for inspection, transparent and accurate to the smallest detail. It was evident that Xu Xiaoya was extrely ticulous in her usual work and had truly invested two hundred percent effort into managing the business.
Xu Xiaoya suddenly grew uneasy, thinking, the Third Young Master never shows his face. His sudden appearance today... is he really going to take the store back?
Yan Xixi had ntioned this possibility several tis, so even though Xu Xiaoya was ntally prepared, she still felt a twinge of regret. She quietly glanced around the magnificently decorated store. It wasn’t greed; she just thought that if the Third Young Master took it back, she’d likely never find such a wonderful place to work in her entire life.
"Such a large profit has accumulated in the accounts. Why hasn’t it been distributed?"
She was taken aback and replied cautiously, "I’ve already taken my bonus and bought a 60-square-ter furnished small apartnt. The rest belongs to Xixi, and Xixi hasn’t taken a single cent. She doesn’t even own a house; she’s always rented..."
Wan Donglin’s brow twitched slightly. That woman is incredibly stubborn. Is being a broke renter, a nine-to-five white-collar worker, really so great? No house, no car, living an unsettled life, getting disheveled and squashed on the bus—is that what she calls having principles?
Xu Xiaoya grew even more nervous. "Actually, I feel I’ve taken too much money already. I don’t deserve this much..."
Wan Donglin interrupted her. "You’ve done much better than I anticipated; you deserve all of it. This is your own store, so its success depends solely on your efforts. Keep up the good work, and I’m sure you’ll reach new heights this year."
Xu Xiaoya’s eyes widened in disbelief.
