When Father Huang ca through the door, he was surprised to see his son sitting alone in the living room. "Xiaojue, it’s not the weekend. Why are you ho? Are you hungry? I can go make so food."
"No need, Dad. I’m treating you guys to dinner tonight. We can go when Mom gets ho."
Father Huang sat down, smiling. He noted his son’s improved spirits lately; although Huang Xiaojue had lost so weight recently, he no longer had that listless and dejected air about him.
"You’re busy with work; you don’t need to keep worrying about us."
Huang Xiaojue was very patient. "I have to go on a business trip tomorrow. I’ll probably be gone for a while, so I ca back to see you both first."
Just then, Huang Xiaojue’s phone rang. It was his mother. "Son, are you free? How about coming ho for dinner with Zhou Ting on Friday evening?"
He replied patiently, "Mom, I’m at ho right now. You should co back soon."
After hanging up, he looked at Father Huang.
Father Huang looked a bit sheepish. "Your mother just gets carried away in front of people. She’s completely obsessed now, passionately inviting Zhou Ting over for dinner every day. Isn’t that ridiculous? Zhou Ting is indeed an excellent girl, but she’s out of our league. The Zhou Family isn’t one we can aspire to."
After the fight last ti, Father Huang had beco much stricter in managing Mother Huang.
