Xu Xiaoya urgently asked, "What’s wrong?"
Yan Xixi turned deathly pale.
The report clearly stated her HCG levels were too low, nowhere near the indicators for pregnancy.
That was bad enough, but the results of other tests were ironclad proof: it was clearly infertility.
Actually, she had been worried because she hadn’t conceived for so long; otherwise, she wouldn’t have undergone all these tests. The results confird her worst fears.
"Xixi, what does this an?"
She shook her head dejectedly. "I don’t know either. I’m going to ask the doctor."
The queue was long, and it seed to take forever before it was her turn.
The doctor took one look at her test results. Their expression turned grim. Yan Xixi, her heart pounding with anxiety, asked softly, "Doctor, is there sothing wrong with ?"
The doctor carefully reviewed all the indicators before asking, "Have you ever been pregnant before?"
"Once, but the pregnancy ended in fetal demise after just over three months. That was the only ti," she replied.
"How long has it been since you stopped using contraceptives?"
She hesitated. "Probably more than half a year."
The doctor sighed. "So that’s what it is. Generally, if you haven’t conceived within two or three months of not using contraception, you should get a check-up. Your test results indicate that your hormones are imbalanced, you rarely ovulate, and therefore can’t conceive naturally..."
Yan Xixi was shocked speechless.
"People’s health today is often problematic. Severe food contamination, various toxic gases, and different forms of radiation significantly impact fertility. Nowadays, one in five couples faces this situation. Therefore, we advise won to ideally complete childbearing during the pri years of 25 to 28."
Yan Xixi’s heart plumted. "So... is it still possible for to conceive naturally?"
"Considering your test results, you only ovulate two or three tis a year. It really depends on luck."
"Can dication help?"
"You can try regulating it with dication, but there are no guarantees. However, I recomnd conducting a comprehensive, detailed examination first."
"Then, what about IVF?"
"IVF? You need to ovulate for IVF too. IVF isn’t a cure-all."
Yan Xixi felt as if a basin of ice-cold water had been poured over her from head to toe, plunging her into an icy cellar.
"Don’t be too anxious. Anxiety is a major factor affecting pregnancy because it can disrupt your hormonal balance. By the way, have you been under a lot of stress recently?"
Yan Xixi was startled.
Was it just recently? From the fight with Huang’s mother and preparing for Harvard, to Wan Donglin’s disappearance for two or three months... the stress had been mountainous, often causing sleepless nights and pushing her to the brink of a nervous breakdown.
The doctor smiled upon hearing this. "Ah, so that’s the reason. In that case, it might not be a major physical issue. If you’re constantly under high-intensity stress, it’s almost impossible to conceive. Try to relax, alleviate stress, and exercise regularly. We’ll see how it goes after so ti."
She clung to a faint shred of hope. "Will this really work?"
The doctor spoke kindly, "Many people recomnd IVF or taking large amounts of Western dicine. However, based on my years of clinical experience, the effects of exercise can sotis far outweigh those of dication. For won of childbearing age, rope skipping and long-distance running are excellent choices. I once treated a 45-year-old woman who had been diagnosed with infertility by every hospital she visited. But she persisted in running five kiloters a day for two years, and she naturally conceived twins. So, don’t be discouraged. The most important thing right now is to relax."
